New The Last Jedi Behind the Scenes Photos Leaked!
A new series of behind the scenes photos has leaked on Imgur. Hit the jump to see multiple images including Luke, Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren, and even a close-up of Supreme Leader Snoke!
UPDATE!
The Imgur gallery showing the leaked images has been taken down. However, a gallery showing all of these images can be viewed here.
Nice.
Still not a big fan of some of the weapons but I guess they will work in the movie. Maybe a different direction with clean and sterile designs is a nice detour from the used and dusty look of most SW designs. I am completely happy with Snokes look. The puppet could redeem the artificial looking CGI from TFA. Which would mean that Snoke looked artificial because he was a holograph and not a “bad” effect.
Hating those guards weapons….look like they came from a Final Fantasy game…gigantic blades on a spear…, give them a gigantic laser blade on a laser spear
I would hope they have some kind of electrical arc over the blade, the detail on the blade seem to hint as such. If not….
yeah, I do wish they went with something closer to the imperial knights from the old Star Wars: Legacy or even the Imperial Shadow Guards from TFA with their saber-staffs. Even in legends continuity I never was a fan of the whole vibroblade blocking lightsabers…too visually dissonent to me, but maybe thats what they are going for. Either that or they are just idiots with ceremonial weapons that can be easily cut to pieces lol
Bring back the vibroblades from kotor!
Bring back the vibroblades from kotor!
I like the design of the guards but I don’t like the weapons. I feel like their designs would look great with the Magnaguard staffs from the prequels. Although it does seem that the one with a sword could possibly adopted that technology; she shape resembles the glass ends of the Magna Guards staffs.
Well, there is at least a possibly that we see Luke hit somebody with that stick.
And his transformation to the old git side will be complete.

I hope Nerf got the rights to make those Praetorian Guard weapons. 🙂
Awesome pics! Although for some reason, some of the Kylo Ren shots made me think of this:
https://youtu.be/GWfQD72nNB8
where’s the green lightsaber ?!
See the sheath? His lightsaber was damaged during the Knights of Ren attack of the Academy and so it stays on permanently now. He had to build a lightsaber-proof sheath to hold it. Now he draws it like a real sword.
Don’t let the wooden walking stick facade fool you.
Maybe he’s so powerful now, he doesn’t even need one.
Looks like they are for either a poster or magazine cover from the way they are posing. These look awesome! Love the look on luke, and even though I wasn’t big on the pratorian guard’s design, the like action poses look MUCH better as many predicted. The weirdest one is snoke for me. The flesh color pallet makes me see him as much less alien- someone needs to tell that guy to fix the color correction on his giant hologram TV
Looks like Snoke had his face melted.
Cool! Luke and Phasma look especially bad ass!
I like it all actually. I didn’t notice this earlier, but it looks like the two blades connect to each other, similar to some of the dual saber designs we’ve seen.

Could Snoke be Valorum?
At least in the book preleading the Revenge of the Sith (Labyrinth of Evil), Valorum dies ….
That’s not canon, though.
Did you just assume his canon?
CANONISM!!
Do you know how old this asshole would be? He is in his 50s at the end of the prequels (that may be skewing young) bu then 48 years go by! He would be over 100. Hes not leading shit lol
Snoke’s no spring chicken…..
TPM was 66 years before TFA
Exactly this guy is long dead
50s are young, whippersnapper!
My apologies sir, that was not my intent.

Heroin is canon confirmed?
Deathsticks..not even once.
Its looks like that snoke
His burnt, meltedface, does very well match the burnd mask of darth vader.
Lift side is normal and right side more melted
Damn… snoke cant put that photo on his facebook profile
Snoke is a Palpatine possessed Vader “corpse”….Or not.
I still dont understand why they didnt used andy serkis without cgi, even with prosthetics is so much better than a generic burned villain
They were taken down before I could see them. Any place else that these exist?

Luke looks badass, but with Rian’s meddling with the character, grand-disappointment awaits. Here’s the MIRROR for you guys to view: https://starwarstheory.com/2017/07/27/leaked-tlj-movie-images/
If you’re going to be so close-minded about the character of Luke Skywaker and unwilling to even see the movie before you make a definitive assessment of it, I hope you are disappointed.
The character of Luke Skywalker is revered by multiple generations worldwide — and I will accept NOTHING but a heroic representation of Luke — anything less is an ASSAULT on Luke’s character and Legacy. I am “open minded” about new characters such as Rey, Finn, and Kylo — but have ZERO patience for any “Let’s get weird” moments with Luke. ZERO.
Luke Skywalker is not a flawless, superhuman, godlike character. Suggesting that Luke cannot possibly be affected in any way by the tragedy that destroyed his attempt to rebuild the Jedi Order at the hands of his own nephew, is putting Luke in a box that makes him one-dimensional and unrelatable. We connect with Luke as the central protagonist of Star Wars because we relate to him and he is likable. If we elevate him to superhero status in which he can never get discouraged or lose faith and need a person like Rey to help him realize his worth and purpose again after the loss of the new academy, we force him to be a very boring and unrealistic character.
I too am very worried about how Luke is going to end up being portrayed in this next film. Not that it matters in the end, but I don’t think it’s completely Rian’s fault. He was sort of painted into a corner when JJ Abrams chose to have Luke sit out the entire movie on his hermit island, which by itself is uncharacteristic of Luke. So Rian has to somehow explain all of that. My guess is the film will start with Luke being depressed and cynical because of what happened to his New Order, but that as the film progresses the hero we know and love will start to re-emerge. But we’ll have to wait and see. I will be the first in line with my torch in hand at the anti-Rian Johnson mob if he ends up disgracing one of the most beloved cinema heroes of all time.

The eyes look kinda like Dave Prowse’s…
Hahahahahahaha
So,,,with all the weapons the “guards” have….Knights of Ren????
Thats what I was thinking
Thats what I was thinking
Still don’t see how there are any spoilers here…. I mean, the Praetorian Guards have been seen and known about for a while. Snoke had a closeup in TFA…. and the rest.. well yeah. cool pics though.
The guards weapons are what I’m looking at! Look at the Knights of Ren Concept Art above! 🙂
Some people are just over sensitive about “spoilers”
But someone avoiding spoilers would have avoided those spoilers, too, so they wouldn’t be “seen and known about.”
True, but everywhere i saw this posted had huge “WARNING! SPOILERS” signs and when the toy art was shown, it was just “New praetorian guard images” lol
They took it off =
Links below have them.
Looks good. Maybe I’m just being wishful but it sure seems like those guards may actually fight.
Personally, I’ve always wanted Snoke to end up being Vitiate (I PROMISE no snoke theory…just wanted it! ) 🙂 I’ve seen a lot of folks saying, “Couldn’t be such-n-such…they’d be too old….well, if Vitiate showed us anything, a Sith can virtually live forever 🙂
Um…I think TOR games are not canon anymore.
Neither was Thrawn but they brought him into canon. Maybe they’ll change their minds about Vitiate as well.
No they’re not, but like was said, neither was Thrawn, and LFL is loving the fans coming back to their books with his return. While TOR is not canon, elements can definitely be brought in, and characters added. 🙂
While your definitely right that lucasfilm will never make snoke turn out to be vitiate, I could totally see them taking elements of him and the eternal empire into smokes character like how many canon characters are inspired by legends characters.
It can be the background to kick start an Old Republic film, so shit if he was Vitiate I wouldn’t mind that either.
It says that the image is no longer available. Has anyone copied them and can share them somewhere else??? thanks

Snoke has to be Anakin’s burned body possessed by some force ghost or something.
But you know that it’s not how the burned body looks like? After such funeral there’s only ash and bones. Hardly anything to be possessed.
If his body was possessed before hand by for example, Palpatine, couldn’t he use the force to at least partially preserve himself?
That’s literally has to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
It’s actually not a dumb theory. Why did Palpatine cared about Anakin so much that he even went to recover his burnt remainings? Anaking was created by the force, but most likely he was created by either Palpatine or Plagueis. Yeah, I’m bringing the Plagueis theory again, but it makes sense. I suspect that they created Anakin to be extremely strong with the force, because what Plagueis did was transfer his soul to another body when he was young, and then Palpatine killed Plagueis (or so he tought) so it could be him the one that transfered bodies. That’s why later Palpatine was interested in Luke, and could be why Snoke has interest in Kylo, as both Luke and him are descendants of Anakin.
It could be that Plagueis survived, and took control of Anakin’s burned body, waiting for Kylo to be more powerful to take his body.
Plagueis is so dead though.
“He could save OTHERS but not himself.”
Nowhere is his power described as keeping himself alive. Watch the scene again.
That’s what Palpatine says. But it doesn’t mean it’s completely true.
Doesn’t mean it is a lie, either.
Also, the intent was just to seduce Anakin. he is dead. DEAD. DEAD.
Yeah. I mean, it’s an unlikely theory. But I don’t think it’s stupid.
Yeah, I never said anything about Anakin being alive. I said Snoke is residing in his corpse.
That’s….just no.
I was referring to Plagueis being dead dead dead.
Snoke is a ‘malachor’ darkside survivor….
But isn’t snoke said to be 7 foot tall? Plus anakins fleshy body was missing several limbs even if it survived the burning
gag
My theory is that it is the Dark Side from Anakin who crawled out of his body in ROTJ and is looking for a new host. He created the Knights of Ren to find a suitable body. So far, he is interested in Kylo Ren, but may be interested in Rey, as soon as he sees what she can do.
Anakin’s story has ended. This Trilogy is not about Anakin.
That’s rich, coming form you. Aren’t you the one who wanted the three geriatric leads form the OT running around doing Force Flips in episodes 7-9?
I think its time for a 3rd villain, someone more powerful than Snoke. Kylo ren cuts snoke head off and the true master of puppets appear in this film

Lol love it. Make it happen Disney! I don’t care that Luke has transcended the need for a saber, I want to see that green blade light up at least once in this trilogy!
Love that Luke’s stick. I need a prop right now for my forest walks…
well…ok?
I guess I just didn’t expect Snoke to be so… sooo….. peach. I mean that guy is as white as my chicken legs after a long northern winter. I think he should have been more grey.
And what’s up with that neck. Looks like a nasty ole tree. Hmmm. I’m going to have to let this one grow on me. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/8ddea42acc15b312ea47266e81506f440ce29f626df7519c7fdfcadcd24ccebf.jpg
Japser Carrot confirmed as Snoke
https://www.comedy.co.uk/images/library/people/300/j/jasper_carrott_2013.jpg
Hah! Brilliant!
My Snoke theory is that Anakin wasn’t the first being to be created by the Midichlorians. If he was created artificially by Plaguis or Palpatine for example then what if they didn’t get it right the first time ? What if there was a child born from the Force that was mutated in some way. Hidden in the shadows but powerful none the less.
Easily the most interesting thing in these pics is the staff Luke is carrying. Could it be like Yoda’s Gimer Stick symbolizing the ancient wisdom of the Jedi? Yoda received a Gimer staff (note it’s “staff” not “Stick”) from the Wookies prior to the Battle of Kashyyyk which he left behind after order 66 was initiated. Could Luke have visited the Wookies prior to his exile and acquired the staff meant for Yoda all those years earlier? This basically means Luke has transcended the need for a light saber, prepare for some force badassery. I really like the idea of Luke being so powerful he doesn’t need a saber.
I want to say that Snoke might be Ezra because the piercing blue eyes and nose kind of match up.
But the more I look at Snoke, the more I think he looks too old to be Ezra (unless he’s had a very very tough time [clearly, judging by the f**ked up face] since Rebels concludes).
I think Ezra is going to have a big role to play when Rebels finishes up… I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Digging Luke’s poncho/cape outfit here a lot more than the Jedi robes.
I agree! the Poncho outfit looks like it allows for more mobility/action. Was worried after seeing the Ben Kenobi robes in TFA that they would relegate Luke to being merely a mentor and not let him see any action. Hoping we get to see him in Knight mode, not just Obi-Wan mode. Mark Hamill is still young and limber enough to kick some a$$
I LOVE that Snoke puppet (?) but the Praetorian guards do look a bit silly. I’ll wait to see them in action, though.
Yeah, those guards are giving me more Power Rangers than Star Wars. Eeek.
hahahaha so MSW planned to release these photos as descriptions then release artwork of the descriptions only to have the actual images to be released at all once by a fan for the fans!
Hate to say it but Snoke looks lame in GOLD. Black or even a BURGUNDY RED would make him far more Sinister and far less pimpjuice.
It’s been done. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/cd1d28c571419a51ae18063f8fa30026b97ffa82792aecdae687a72c9bd4a81f.jpg https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/5faf7c0f83691393549442f77b9474ee0aa34eafca853414590dff05a82fcc74.jpg
One of many mis-fires to come with TLJ…….
https://media.giphy.com/media/sY4SjlTUgRUmQ/giphy.gif
Only a misfire if you’re expecting everything to be familiar and predictable.
I like familiar with unpredictable — ala TFA.
TFA was designed to be familiar to fans of the OT to wash the bad taste of the prequels away. Now that that has been accomplished, it’s time to make Star Wars new and innovative again.
SNOKE is obviously orSON KrEnnic.
SONKE?
No, orSON KrEnnic, can’t you read?
Wow, so many Snoke comments. Does anyone actually care? I honestly (based on what we’ve seen so far) think Snoke is a really generic, uninteresting, and unnecessary character. He had ZERO impact on screen in TFA, and even Andy Serkis couldn’t seem to find anything interesting or unique to do with the character. In all honesty I’m constantly forgetting the character even exists, and that can’t be a good thing if they’re trying to set him up as an important antagonist/mastermind. I feel like there’s enough to explore with Kylo and Rey, and hello, LUKE SKYWALKER, that they don’t need to cram the story with yet another chess piece.
“He had ZERO impact on screen in TFA”
Much like the Emperor in ESB. Don’t judge a Star Wars villain until the end of the trilogy, that’s my sentiment.
The Emperor in ESB was at least creepy, and at the time original. Snoke looked just like Gollum and Nosferatu, and despite their attempts to make him intimidating fell flat IMO. I get your point that we haven’t see all he’s capable of yet, but I did say my opinion was based on what we’ve seen so far, and it was a bit more than just 2 lines, honestly. He had a bigger role, more dialogue, and more screen time than Palpatine in Empire for sure, and I definitely did not forget Palpatine after the film was over. Palpatine’s brief appearance also made me curious to see and know more about him, while personally I find myself not caring at all who Snoke is or where he comes from. I’m much more interested in who the Knights of Ren are and their backstory. Adding in Snoke feels unnecessary and like one too many things to have to try to follow. Also seems like he’s there just to mirror Palpatine. I think it’d be more interesting and more original to have the antagonists be a group/cult (Knights of Ren) rather than trying to emulate the Vader/Emperor relationship.
“and I definitely did not forget Palpatine after the film was over.”
Can you HONESTLY give me your impartial view on Palpatine’s first appearance with 37 years of pop culture fame to cloud your judgement? Because I’m skeptical. Regardless, you didn’t actually refute my point. You said it yourself, Snoke actually had MORE to do in TFA than Palpatine in ESB. You have some pretty clear double standards.
not sure why my OPINION seems to bother you so much. And I also don’t understand what you mean by double standards. My point was that Snoke had even MORE of an opportunity to make an impression given that he received more screen time, and yet I feel like Palpatine in his brief ESB appearance seemed like a more interesting and unique character than motion capture Snoke.
Be “skeptical” of my feelings and viewpoints all you want, I have no reason to make things up.
There are just too many grey zombie looking bad guys now a days. Voldemort, Gollum, etc. When Ian originally did it, it was original. And in Episode 3 he and Lucas had the genius to have him ham it up to keep the character feeling twisted and sinister rather than dark and brooding. Which worked very well.
Where are the pictures?
