Its Vader getting ready for a bacta treatment.

It’s Sir Sheev Palpatine, checking in on Vader, telling him the bubble bath is over, time to go to work.

Unfortunately there is no form for me to fill out here on the SWNN link? I commented below as required; perhaps you can contact me thru Facebook with the remainder of the promotion? I need to win something 😉

Obviously the emperor checking in on Vader after he’s sustained injuries. No reason for the imperial guards to be there if it isn’t the emperor

It’s gotta be Vader in his bath robe, since he’s about to hop in the tub.. I mean tank.

Much of me is still hoping it’s my old boy Sheev. I’d love if they truly managed to sneak such a cameo in.

I think that the figure is an inquisitor of some sort and Vader is in the tank, as backed up by the photos from the creature department, and the presence of Red guards.

I think it’s Palpatine. The Imperial Guards are there. There’s no other scene with them that doesn’t have Palpatine. He’s also disfigured from Episode III. A bacta tank makes sense.

I think it is a spy reporting back to Vader.

I think this is actually Vader who is unrobing (which explains the kneeling) to head into that bacta tank. Odd way to unrobe by kneeling I know but perhaps he is adjusting something on his cybernetic leg.

Some random imperial officer, possibly from a more covert or undercover branch of the Empire that works closely with Vader. I believe it is Vader in the tank because of the concept art and model we saw in the background of the creature featurette. If that is Vader, I just can’t see the Emperor kneeling to Vader in any context (in the first teaser the hooded figure kneels as he approaches the tank). I don’t think it is Krennic, unless he all the sudden had a massive wardrobe change from white to black and added a hood. I don’t think it is Tarken because we have never seen or read anything about him having a cape or hood. That leaves me with the thought it is a new character that we have not met yet, again probably an imperial from a black ops/dark side support branch of the Empire.

Not Vader or Palpatine – Vader is likely in the tank plus we wouldn’t see him without his helmet in this movie. We’ve already had 2 actors playing him, we don’t need a third. Palpatine wouldn’t be there – he was in command – underlings would have to go to him, not the other way around. I don;t think Tarken because I don’t think he wears capes. I don’t know who is left of note in the Empire for this movie. I’ve been purposefully not keeping up with it so the movie will be as new as I can make it. I agree with the post below that says it is likely an officer of some sort.

Probably an inquisitor, some one that is not really a “Sith” but still has knowlded of the force. Its not Palpatine because he does not kneel down to NO ONE. Vader doesn’t where a cloak. Plus his helmet would too big and make a bigger shape. I think its like stars rebels where the inquisitors that chase kanan and ezra will chase felicity jones and her band of rebels .
