I hope that you are right. Nobody flies the Falcon like Solo. Also, he’s the only dude badass enough to mess around with Darth Vader’s daughter.

I don’t know what’s worse, jj’s use of practical effects or the new website layout.

    Bring me back to 2002.

What’s worse is the fact that you think cgi is better than practical effects.

One is not better than the other. Truly great filmmakers know how to to mix the two to support each other. Fury Road is a great example of that.

True, I enjoy cgi when it’s used right, but some movies use too much of it and the quality decreases when there is too much cgi or practical effects.

A lot of the time people only notice the really bad CGI. If done right like using Fury Road again as an example you will never even notice it is there and it elevates the film.

What’s worse is that you know that what you just said can bring on a flame war for no reason. No discussions, just ‘this IS better’ or ‘that’s better’.

BTW shame that admins choose disqus! instead of integrating news section with Cantina.

Shame? Do you want to “integrate news section with Cantina”, because it’s not as easy as it sounds. We’ve tried to make our own comment system but it never had the desired result.

Maybe I choose wrong word. What I want to say is, that from my point of view if you have forum and a site, integrating both of them usually is best solution. By integrating I mean every news piece on site creates a thread in forum news board, and posts in said thread on forum are shown as comments on site.

Disqus! is usually on sites where there is no prominent forum, and in those cases it compensate for lack of it quite nicely.

And I know that this sort of integration isn’t easy (or cheap) job. Just something to keep in mind. 🙂

Yea. If Jakku needed to be another sand planet, couldn’t JJ have made it a white or brown sand rather than the exact same yellow sand of Tattooine?

Or hell. ..it could’ve even been green or purple sand, the possibilities are endless for what a planet could look like. Why show us something we’ve already seen and give it a new name? It’s asinine really.

Exactly! I was hoping to see something more tropical-looking in the future unlike anything we’ve ever seen in Star Wars it it there is a tropical planet that exists already, just give it some screen-time if it hasn’t gotten any before or if it has, more screen time.
