I always found it kind of odd to have to include the planet from which the Force originated. Doing so does create the challenge of showing how this planet would look like on screen…whereas in my mind, the origins of the Force could not possibly manifest itself in any recognizable matter. Also, the problem with having a “Force originator” planet is: why wouldn’t the Jedi have some kind of settlement there? Including such a planet just creates more questions.

It started with Yoda and ended with Yoda.

Tell me, what planets did the forces of wind, fire or electricity originate from?…
These are all forces of nature we have the ability to harness in our own ways, just as the Jedi and Sith manipulate the Force.
TCW has changed the Force from a non-sentient energy of inner balance and power (as we know it to be from Yoda and Obi-Wan’s descriptions in the OT) into a silly religion as Tarkin percieved it in ANH.
To him, along with the majority of others during the OT period, the Force was just as ridiculous and childish as it’s being portrayed in the Clone Wars series; a hoaky, fairy tale magic similar to Disneyland’s depiction of the subject.
It’s gravely disheartening to see this become the new Star Wars canon, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I was alone on this… I have a feeling that I’ll most likely be butchered by TCW and PT fans for these opinions and statements, but I stand by them.

I met him in a swamp down in Dagobah
Where it bubbles all the time like a giant carbonated soda
    S-O-D-A, soda
I saw that little runt sitting there on a log
I asked him his name and in a raspy voice, he said “Yoda”
    Y-O-D-A, Yoda
    Yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda

Well, I’ve been around, but I ain’t never seen
A guy who looks like a muppet, but he’s wrinkled and green
    Oh, my Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda

Well, I’m not dumb, but I can’t understand
How he can lift me in the air just by raisin’ his hand
    Oh, my Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda

Well, I left home just a week before
And I’ve never ever been a Jedi before
But Obi-wan, he set me straight, of course
He said “Go to Yoda and he’ll show you the Force.”
Well, I’m not the kind that would argue with Ben
So, it looks like I’m gonna start all over again
    With my Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda

So, I used the Force, I picked up a box
I lifted some rocks, while I stood on my head
But I won’t forget what Yoda said

He said “Luke, stay away from the darker side
And if you start to go astray, let the Force be your guide.”
    Oh, my Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
“I know Darth Vader’s really got you annoyed
But, remember, if you kill him, then you’ll be unemployed.”
    Oh, my Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda

Well, I heard my friends really got in a mess
So, I’m gonna have to leave Yoda, I guess
But I know that I’ll be coming back someday
I will be playin’ this part ’till I’m old and gray
The long-term contract I had to sign
Says I’ll be making these movies ’till the end of time
    Oh, with my Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yoda, yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yo-yo-yo-yo-yoda
    Yoda!

“Tell me, what planets did the forces of wind, fire or electricity originate from?…”

    Uh… Earth?

But seriously, the conundrum of having a planet that originated all life is that you end up wondering how that planet came to be, out of a void where there was originally no life. Filoni talks about the concept of there being more than one of these ‘origin planets’ that pop up at different times and different places / different dimensions so they’re really hard to pin down and locate, but it still leaves the question of where the very first one came from to begin with.

Who created God (s)? I know, people, but thos is the question the Force planet seems to ask. Silly silly concept. THE FORCE WAS FINE IN THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY

This is a point where Star Wars has becomes a victim of it’s own success.
