Star Wars: Han Solo – Old Han & Lando Meet New Han & Lando.
Alden Ehrenreich, who will play Han Solo in the currently-untitled Han Solo Star Wars spin-off, met with Harrison Ford about a month ago to discuss the character over lunch. More recently, Donald Glover and Billy Dee Williams followed suit with regard to the character of Lando Calrissian.

Given that both characters are going to play substantial parts in the film, this is a good sign that the new cast is fully committed to doing justice to the characters that they’re playing. Hopefully, this may also be a sign that Billy Dee Williams could make a commitment to Star Wars Episode IX, as his presence is probably sorely needed now that Carrie Fisher is no longer with us.
Grant has been a fan of Star Wars for as long as he can remember, having seen every movie on the big screen. When he’s not hard at work with his college studies, he keeps himself busy by reporting on all kinds of Star Wars news for SWNN and general movie news on the sister site, Movie News Net. He served as a frequent commentator on SWNN’s The Resistance Broadcast.
im not really hip to the new canon, but I wonder if Lando went back to run Cloud City? possible pit stop in TLJ? :0
The excerpt of the last Aftermath novel explains that he did after dealing with an Imperial blockade in the Anoat Sector.

Read the Lando comic if you haven’t. It’ll help you accept the NEU.
Re: Lando comic
Agreed. It’s a well done comic & enjoyed the portrayal of the character.
I don’t see why missing Carrie makes gives Billy Dee more options to be in IX.
He might be able to fill in for some of the roles? Who really knows what role Lando could fulfil in the Rebel Alliance……I mean Resistance.
You have only Luke from the original trio in IX who can appear in the film otherwise. That’s why.
The original trio are main characters. I’m not saying Lando can’t fit in the new movies, but it’s not a character they will drop on the board just because Carrie is not there. He can help the characters, of course, but he’s not someone who can replace Carrie storywise.
Epic but i still dont get the thrill of watching a han solo standalone movie without han, they could do: the old republic, bobba fett, darth vader, kenobi, the gap between ep 6 and 7 and inifinite more posibilities.Disney dont want to risk anything and thats bad…(dont say about the prequels risking …they sucked but at least they tried)
Gap between 6 and 7 will likely be filled with a new animated TV show once Rebels is finished. And I do agree they don’t want to take risks, but their journey into the Star Wars movie world just started. They are probably playing it safe right now. Though I feel that we may get what you seek after Episode IX comes out.

Dude, I do not mean to be a dick, but shut up with your internet click bait confirmed garbage blog nonsense garbage.
It’s not click bait if it is in the article you already clicked on. It would have to be in the headline.
Perhaps you should explain in more details because your comment doesn’t make any sense.
With all due respect, how is this clickbait? The article name and description aren’t misleading at all, and all that was was a bit of speculation, nothing more.

Is it saying: ”BILLY DEE WILLIAMS IN EPISODE IX CONFIRMED” or anything close to that? Not really… Do you even understand what clickbait means?
Maybe guess you’re pissed at your girlfriend or mom and decided to try to be a dick without being a dick, but came off like my friend Richard whose know doubt called Dick once in a while.
All I want is billy see in episode 9. Pretty please. It would make sense so you wouldn’t have to try too too hard to work him in
Agree with the general sentiment – be great to have BDW back as Lando.
My only concern is that it would have to make sense & move the story/characters forward.
The new trilogy already has a VERY FULL cast of characters & I want to see screen-time used efficiently, with a very well developed story/script, that doesn’t shoe-horn in extra fan service for the sake of it.
Mustache or no mustache? Maybe there will be a time jump like in Rogue One so he can do both.

Anybody else notice the paparazzi stalker has a tiny little heart tattoo on his middle finger? Weird.
