Cameron Monaghan To Introduce Music From ‘Star Wars Jedi’ Games at the Game Awards 10-Year Concert

The Game Awards announced earlier this week that Cameron Monaghan will be introducing a suite of orchestral music from the Star Wars Jedi games that will be played during the Game Awards’ 10-year concert on Sunday, June 25, at the Hollywood Bowl.

The concert takes place just a couple of months after Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games released Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the second adventure led by Cal Kestis (Cameron Monaghan). The music for both Survivor and its predecessor, Fallen Order, was composed by Stephen Barton and Gordy Haab.

The event will be conducted by Lorne Balfe and will feature appearances by Gustavo Santaolalla and Tenacious D. Tickets are still available for purchase here. Here is the official description:

“This special live concert event celebrates the unforgettable role music plays in video games. Lorne Balfe leads the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra in music selections and suites from Arcane, Diablo, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy® XVI, God of War, Hades, Hogwarts Legacy, League of Legends, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Starfield, Star Wars Jedi, The Last of Us, and live performances by Gustavo Santaolalla and Tenacious D.”

Survivor was met with great reviews upon release, with almost universal praise in regards to how it was able to one-up the previous one in terms of story and also combat modes and game mechanics. However, the developer was also forced to work on several patches they’ve been releasing since the game came out to deal with many bugs experienced by the players. The PC launch was particularly faulty.

Development on a third game has not been announced yet, but it’s assumed it’s happening. Meanwhile, the news comes on the heels of Ubisoft announcing their new Star Wars: Outlaws open-world game, coming from Massive Entertainment. It will be a new adventure, set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi in the underworld of the galaxy, with our protagonist fighting for survival in a landscape where criminal syndicates are thriving after the recent loss by the Rebellion.
