‘Star Wars’ Celebration: Anthony Daniels, Ian McDiarmid, Ashley Eckstein Are First Announced Guests

The Star Wars Celebration countdown has begun. The event will take place in just over two months, and to make the wait feel even longer, StarWars.com has just announced the first three guests coming to Anaheim: Ahsoka Tano voice actress Ashley Eckstein, Emperor Palpatine himself Ian McDiarmid, and everyone’s favorite protocol droid, Anthony Daniels.

Daniels is a classic guest of Celebration, and as usual, he will probably take over some of the panels he’s in to start telling stories about his days as C-3PO, or whatever is crossing his mind at that moment. McDiarmid also appeared in the last two Celebrations, sharing a couch with Hayden Christensen during the “40 years of Star Wars” panel in 2017, and making a surprise appearance in 2019 after they played the teaser trailer of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. When the lights went on, the actor appeared on stage. After one minute of trying to speak into the mic and being cut off by the audience’s overwhelming reaction, he finally queued the trailer a second time by saying “Roll it again.”

Eckstein has also been to Celebration before, appearing mostly in Star Wars: Rebels and The Clone Wars-related panels. We don’t know if she will be part of any panel this time around though. Her appearance feels more special when we consider that filming on the live-action Ahsoka series will be happening during Star Wars Celebration.

StarWarsNewsNet and The Resistance Broadcast will also be at Celebration, so look forward to our coverage of the event. Single-day adult tickets for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday are still available. 4-day passes, as well as single-day passes for all four days, are still available for kids, too. You can purchase them here.

He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
