The trailers for Rebels always look good but the show rarely lived up to it IMO. I was also royally pissed off with the policy of selling a “season pass” on iTunes which then turned out to only be a pass to the first half of the season.

yeah the season pass fiasco wasn’t their finest hour. but as to the show its been rocking since midway season one, at least for me. though some of the “filler” eps last season did drag a bit.

Yeah, the filler eps are my major gripe. I also thought the finale was a cop-out. They wanted an Ahsoka / Vader showdown but didn’t give it any finality.

I like the characters (apart from Zeb who annoys me) and the premise of the show is strong. They’ve struggled to find a good villain so far — hopefully Thrawn will change that.

that ahoska/vader fight was an weird decision. i loved the emotion of it so much but as you say no conclusion. might we get a rematch?

the villain question is interesting. i loved in season one how we started with the bumbling imp officers, then got kallus, then the grand inquisitor, then tarkin, and finally vader. it was always escalating. while in season two it was mostly the brother and sister inquisitors who got less and less threatening. bringing in thrawn seems to be righting the ship back to the season one form. hopefully. 🙂

The lack of explanation of the Inquisitors (their origins, why Fifth Brother? Why not First Brother?) is what gets me.

I noticed that Rebels starts and finishes strongly, with an occasional good episode or two in the middle.

A month and a half, not bad. I can dig it. And no waiting after the premiere, thank the Maker.

Insert endless whining about Rebels being inferior to The Clone Wars here.

Is it just a single 20-something minute episode, or are we getting a ‘mashup’, multi-episode ‘movie premiere event, like ‘Siege of Lothal’ last year?

Does anyone think Ezra looks similar to Starkiller from Force Unleashed?
