New LEGO Sets Suggest AT-ST Walkers on the Streets of Jedha.

LEGO Rogue One

The first Rogue One: A Star Wars Story toys are set to arrive next month on Force Friday 2016 and the next teaser is imminent, so it’s not surprising to see official images of the new LEGO sets start to roll out. Five vehicle sets (which were leaked previously) and three action figures have been uncovered through The Brothers Brick.

In quick summary, here’s what we learned from these new toys:

  • AT-STs appear in the movie and show up on Jedha, if the background is of any indication.
  • Imperials apparently have a special uniform for their air traffic ground crew. UPDATE: This appears to be the uniform that Jyn Erso is seen wearing in the teaser.
  • Fan-favorite aliens Pao and Bistan are both included as a part of these sets, though they’re sold separately.
  • UPDATE: As pointed out by Richard Pepperell in the comments below, B-wings, X-wings, and TIE fighters all appear in the background of the set for Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle, suggesting that there’s a major space battle in the movie at one point.
  • UPDATE: Jyn Erso has the rank of Sergeant.

Hopefully, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Rogue One in the coming days. We at Star Wars News Net will be sure to keep you covered.

Special thanks to Rick Mulhof and SW Mega Fan.

The box for Krennic’s shuttle clearly shows both X-wings AND B-wings dog-fighting with TIEs… Possible spoilers?
(Image are easier to see in higher quality on Lego fan sites).

But… but how!? Maybe a desperate attack to try and get R1 home? I mean they are fighting in front of the Death Star… My mind is spinning…

I disagree… lego box arts take some freedom usually… having ships fighting in the background is quite common.

This is true, but boxes usually feature other vehicles which featured on screen/ in the same movie as the set, not just random additions.

actually I’m pretty sure I’ve seen quite a few random additions

Good eye. I would barely make them out.

Since Rebels season 2 the “B”lade-Wing has had its origin slightly revised.

      Possible.

Great eye! That image, combined with the sizzle reel where someone is screaming “x-wing, x-wing, kills the at-at” on a beach, combined with footage of Krennic on a beach, combined with the poster of the Death Star looming over a beach, combined with the very first footage of fighters approaching a Death Star very close to a planet, makes me think the battle is something akin the Maz Kanata fight, maybe a battle over the beach combined with a space battle. Combined. Beach. Beach. Smileyface.

Damn! The most pricy set is the only one with the death troopers!

They’ll probably have a smaller set with like 4 mini figs with about 130 pieces later on.

First Order troops + officers and Battlefront-ish Imp Stormstroopers each got “army builder” figure sets, so I’m CERTAIN the Death Troopers will as they’re going to be super popular methinks.

The K2-SO and Death Trooper buildables are nice but the other sets are pretty meh.

I know the currency of my homeland has been in freefall since Brexit but seriously, the sets are the same or more £ as $? Another reason to be glad I emigrated.

These sets looks awesome! I only wish Krennics shuttle would be bigger. It seems kinda small..

    • August 9, 2016 at 7:45 pm

Really? The shuttle looks pretty basic compared to the Kylo Ren one from TFA which had a lot of detail and moving parts. Granted we can’t see everything from the pictures here but it looks like something my kid could throw together from spare bits rather than a really detailed model.

Likewise the U-Wing which looks really boxy and basic. It’s not even clear that the wings can swing back which they appear to do in the movie based on some of the art we’ve seen previously.

The K-2SO and Death Trooper are cool and I’m sure I’ll end up buying some of these just to get the minifigs.

…looks like hinges right behind the wings on the U-Wing to me. Not feeling the ATST or the tank though.

I agree about the shuttle. It should be bigger AND more detailed. I really like the other ones though

Looks like the speculation about the U-wing being that gunship we saw in the sizzle reel is confirmed.
