From John Williams’ statement from 2 days ago we know that he will be watching a rough cut of the movie in a few weeks time, so Rian and film editor Bob Ducsay will be very busy this month. Also ILM are most likely working on some test shots from the movie. Once the final cut is locked, they can start their real work on the final shots.

Exciting times to be a Star Wars fan!

This film is going to be so great, I reckon the best out of the new films released

I have faith on Ryan Johnson. Each fan may appreciate different things. I do care about the characters more than anything else, this is why this could be the best out of the eight saga films, for me.

I am so excited to see how the story unfolds. I hope the story includes a little romance. I loved how ESB had adventure, action, romance, mystery, comedy and characters we loved and believed in. All the elements that made the film one the best films of today. I believe that Rian Johnson has the capability to tell a great story.

So you’ve already accepted the idea of a ESB rehash. GOOD

I didn’t know VIII was a standalone movie that had nothing to do with the stroy and characters from VII. That sounds great.

Fascinating watch. Thanks for posting. Yeah, I remember when SW IV came out and my dad saying certain elements were similar to movies he saw as a kid and I just wouldn’t listen. “SW was new and nothing ever has been in the movies like that ever”. I said as a 10 yr old child. I guess certain things you give a pass to and other things you raise a stink about.

It kind of hard to say: “I want this SW movie to be great” and not kind of mention ESB though lol (even leading up to TFA we ‘wanted it to be like ESB’ just like every franchise movie).

I guess we should just be happy we have ESB lol

I hate to break it to you, but this film began post-production a long time ago. Post runs concurrent with production and an “edited assembly” was probably done by the time they wrapped photography. Editorial got into full swing the day AFTER wrap (which was a while ago).

Platinum Star has been banned. We’ve received numerous reports on his negative and trolling comments. Also we warned him, but nothing changed. Constantly hating on everything new from the Star Wars Universe is not productive at all and is not helping the discussions in any way.

I feel quite the opposite to be honest. It’s not that I’m not excited about Rogue One, but I’m already far more excited for Episode VIII even if we saw nothing of it.

as pumped as I am for rogue one after that amazing trailer, it’s hard for me to be a buzzed about that movie compared to rogue one. For episode 8 I’m just so engaged in the mystery of who everyone is and what happens to the Galaxy. Literally anything could happen! Rogue one seems like more of an emotional rollercoaster that has an end result which we know very well.
