I live in Europe and i can tell i can watch it on either internet for free just few days after release of the episode. Or later i can watch it in my native language on local branch of Disney channel.

So please stop spouting nonsense. And tell what you truly want.

Fun episode. But it still felt very Star Trek.

The episode that felt star trek to me was blood sisters. With all the confronting between the two ships and combat style…

What’s bad about it “feeling Star Trek”? TV is the SW universe’s chance to tell interesting stories outside the format of the movies.

Reminded me quite a bit of when Ben and Luke had to navigate into the Kathol Rift using Luke’s anti-lighting rod power

where did that happen? in the comics, or you’re talking about EU stuff?

Old EU stuff from the Fate of the Jedi arc. The writers really seem to like the idea of using Rebels as a sort of vehicle for various bits and pieces of the now non-canon EU

I think this episode. saved itself in the last 8 minutes. I never had problems with rebels animation, but that prestess had ridiculous hair, and the Lasat ritual’s first phase featured a ridiculous invented language. Still the last 8 minutes were so good that I can oversee the previous 14

    • February 4, 2016 at 9:26 pm

What’s wrong with invented languages? You know Tolkien invented languages for The Lord of the Rings…. silly thing to gripe about…

      • February 4, 2016 at 10:22 pm
        Permalink

nothing wrong about invented languages in general. My problem is when invented languages sound stupid. None of Tolkien’s languages sounded stupid, as he was an important ancient language intellectual. But just tell me if the lasat ritual didn’t sound ridiculous.

      • February 5, 2016 at 11:47 am

It’s not an “invented language” we heard here, The writers wrote a bunch of meaningless syllables that only give the impression of a language. Which is fine of course, for this purpose. But to compare it to actual constructed languages (cf. Tolkien) is a bit goofy.
        Anyway, carry on.

I LOVED this episode. The music and visuals were great, and I like that Zeb is finally given some actual character development.

Yeah, I noticed the music too. It was a cool departure. Would have liked to see the home planet, but the view from space was cool.

I like how it is not simply recycling storylines and doing original things. Its a kids series and not supposed to be Shakespeare so we must realistic expectations. Compared to the Clone Wars in latter seasons they may start running out of ideas but even later on they had much depth in that series with tons of new characters and plot twists with the Mandalorians. There is no reason to think the same thing can eventually be achieved with this show.

Just dawned on me now. If they can make a real Chopper then why not use him in Rogue One or the new trilogy?

Very nice music during this episode. I liked the episode a lot, more than most episodes, but it felt a bit.. .anti-climactic. For one, I’d have liked to actually see the planet–even just a couple of shots would have sufficed. What’s up with the dearth of locales on this show?

  • February 5, 2016 at 8:59 pm
    Permalink

Great music. Loved the mysticism…but ultimately the whole thing was an anti-climax by not showing us the planet surface at the end!

  • February 6, 2016 at 1:37 am
    Permalink

Whole thing was painful in my opinion… So now all Lasat can use the Force? And their weapons can produce unlimited energy without frying sensitive controls? Hypersaceing through a black hole? Ridiculous ‘old mystic’ cliches… Zeb seemed like the only sane person not wanting to have anything to do with that gibberish ritual.
Love how his Force Dowsing Rod somehow could not only interface with a hologram, but that they were able to use it to “find unmapped systems”… ON A MAP. Good grief they need a better writer.

Dude, this is Star Wars. When has logic EVER applied?

      • February 6, 2016 at 5:26 am
        Permalink

Star Wars is largely logical when regarding its own internal consistency (parts of ep. 7 aside). That is where this episode fails.
