Pre-order Battlefront Now for Early Access to the Free DLC.

jakkuStar Wars battlefront has been made available for Pre-order with two different packages offered…

Pre-order Star Wars Battlefront and on December 1st, 2015, be among the first players to experience the Battle of Jakku, the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet in the Outer Rim. Taking place in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor, players will experience the events that created the massive, battle-scarred landscape of Jakku shown in Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™.  Players who pre-order Star Wars Battlefront can fight the battle one week early.  All other players will get access to this content on December 8th, 2015.”

On a Side note the mention of the New Republic is intriguing as during celebration it was confirmed that the rebels are now called the Resistance, and that the Empire collapsed and ‘The First Order’ arose, and since Battlefront is canon we can assume both the New Republic and Imperial Governments somehow fell and were reformed into new ones by the time of The Force Awakens.

So the New Republic is coming back, and is going to collapse rapidly like in the EU. Good nod to EU 🙂

Those were the same ship, which was nowhere near the size of an SSD. That was ISD sized. It just looks larger then normal because it’s actually grounded so there’s some scale to it.

I actually would prefer this planet to be Jakku rather than Tatooine. Why would there be a random battle above a planet that is more-or-less void of any imperial/republic settlements? Makes more sense for a different desert planet that once secretly housed imperial forces near Endor to be filled with post-battle debris. This is a galaxy after all, full of multiple star systems. Another desert planet isn’t a far-fetched idea.

also avoids just the random coincidence that tatooine would just keep being important in every movie. Its good to branch out rather than keep revisiting the same 5 or 6 planets.

Great craftsmanship on this. I was thinking this would be a great way for me to hide my vibrator so my mom doesn`t find it, when she cleans out my room. I could hollow out the inside of the light saber and conceal it inside, no one suspecting a thing. Its been almost impossible to have one until now. Looks like things are finally starting to looking up, and there`s a chance on the horizon.

“Kevin, should your lightsaber be vibrating?”

“yeah, mom. This one comes with realistic buzzing action to accompany the sound effect!”

I think….there’s conflict about how the new republic is to be setup….and it leads to a certain key character taking remnants of the empire and forming the First Order in opposition to our established other rebels. That key character is the one standing on the huge stage in the teaser #2 with the red banner behind…and that key character is Leia.

You heard it here first! LOL…I could be talking out my ass…but wouldn’t that be incredibly interesting?!

At the Force Awakens panel it could be inferred from Isaacs reply that Poe Dameron will be appointed by Leia to embark on a special mission.

But yeah, Leia turning to the dark side would be interesting.

Are we sure the New Republic and the resistance are not different things? I could see them being a sub-faction, or a special-ops group in charge of taking out the remaining empire. Just a thought.

Yes they are different… the battle of Jakku takes place one year after the battle of Endor… so the faction names will change over time somehow. I guess we might find out in Star Wars aftermath. Man what a crazy time this is!

Interesting that Vader’s lightsaber is shown with Luke’s. This is supposed to take place after Vader’s death and I thought he lost his saber in the throne room anyway.
