Star Wars Battlefront Endor Concept Art Revealed.

Concept artIGN has revealed the first concept art for Star Wars Battlefront…

Star Wars Battlefront Design Director Niklas Fegraeus expanded a bit more on the game stating :

“The scale of our maps and modes offer a great variety” depending on the location, Fegraeus explained. Hoth, where the Rebel Alliance fought off invading AT-ATs in snowy plains, will differ in size than the dense woodland of Endor. “We have actually made the decision to specifically tailor certain maps to certain game modes,”

Fegraeus continued, “and what we get from that is not only incredibly varied scales, but also gameplay that will allow players to live out some of their most memorable Star Wars battle fantasies.”

Could be reading too much into one bit of concept art, but… One of those rebel commandos looks like a woman. But there’s no discernible difference in the class of the two rebels. In battlefield games, different classes have different models, in previous battleFRONT games, even more so. Speculative conclusion? Could we be about to get custom character models in bf3?

You’re right, watched the video with sound on, also confirmed different weapons, so perhaps this suggests they are different classes? If so, bold move to make the ‘standard’ rebel trooper a woman. Tip of the hat to dice. – Ico

I just hope that EA doesn’t nickel and dime us (even though there’s probably a chance) with microtransactions and content that was suppose to be in the game but cut out as dlc. As far as DICE trying to make this the best Star Wars shooter is a tall order. The Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games, Republic Commando, and Battlefront I and II were great. I’ve played Mirror’s Edge and Bad Company 1 and 2 and they had great campaigns(sadly i never played the multiplayer) however from what I heard from my friends is that Battlefield 3 and 4’s single player campaign weren’t that great and the multiplayer(especially 4) were broken on launch. I will remain optimistic that Battlefront will be great(otherwise the backlash is going to be insane.)

Anyway tl;dr version: DON’T FUCK IT UP EA k thx bye.

Wow! This game looks really cool! Does the concept art suggest the ability to play as female characters on the battlefield? If so, awesome!

I can’t wait to see some space battle gameplay! Imagine a DICE version of the battle over Endor, or even Coruscant.

I just hope they make new maps and not new maps based on those from BF I and II or from those PSP versions…

I hope they keep the Jedi and sith heroes from BF2. Also if you can customize your weapons and ships would be awesome. I can’t wait any longer for the movie and game. Be December now!!!

I would interested in spinoff game linked to Han Solo if its using the same architecture as the 1313 game. Sadly 2016 is too far away.
