Hands down, my classic favorite is Boba Fett. I was obsessed with the helmeted bounty hunter from the first time I watched the original trilogy. For TFA, Captain Phasma will most definitely win the spot of my favorite. I absolutely love Gwendoline Christie and she has even said that Phasma is a Boba Fett-like character. I’m already won over.

Luke is my favorite classic because we learn through him about what it means to be a Jedi.
I’m looking forward to learning more about Kylo Ren because it seems he’s connected to a lot of the characters and could potentially be one of the most haunting villains in film history.

Darth Vader, i have always been more in the Dark side. My new favorite caracter should be Kylo Ren in the next episode.

I’ve gotta go with R2. Sassy l’il droid with a heart of gold-plating, even if he can’t speak. He’s got a lot of weight in the franchise and I’m looking forward to seeing his cameo in TFA.

As for new characters, I’m mostly looking forward to Captain Phasma. I don’t know why, but she drew me in with her badass armor and the fact that she’s so big. I’m part-Amazoness myself so I guess it’s a relatability thing.

Luke hands down is the best original character. He’s all that is Jedi. As far as new characters my ultimate favorite is ahsoka. Her story and personality is the best new character so far. I think kylo ren will be the best from TFA. IF everything said so far is true that is.

I don’t think that counts, since she’s not a TFA character.

Luke Skywalker is my favorite character because we can all relate to him and his journey is the classic hero’s journey. Kylo Ren may be my favorite character of the new film just based on his design.

A classic character I like is obi-wan, I enjoyed him in both the prequels (where I noticed Ewan Mcgregor stayed faithful to the original OT obi-wan) and the originals, even though he’s mostly a force ghost and certainly hides much info needlessly from luke, he’s somehow the character (as seen in the PT) that I can relate to most, and a great old fossil as shown in the OT. For the new characters… I don’t know how luke will be like, so I think currently Rey and Poe Dameron are the most candidable ones. Rey because she’s hot, Poe because we’ve already got some of his backstory.

honestly, my favorite classic character has to be anakin. As I started watching the clone wars when I was younger, I really took a liking to the way they portrayed him in that series as opposed to Attack of the Clones. I think my favorite of the new film will be Supreme Leader Snoke….or should I say Darth Plagueis!!! I’ve been waiting for this character for so long hopefully it lives up to the hype!

I’m going to have to go with Darth Vader. What a wonderfully multifaceted character. No other character sums up what Star Wars is all about as well as he does, in my opinion. I know that seems like an obvious thing (I mean, he’s all over the merchandise), but I’m talking more about his embodiment of the themes and the overall spirit of the story, not just his recognizability as a mascot of the brand itself.

As for the new characters, I’m most excited about Rey. Apart from wanting to see if my theory on her parentage is accurate, from what I’ve seen of her in the trailers/TV spots, Daisy seems to bring such an innocence and sincerity to the character that I think that even some of the people that are way more excited about other characters (like Kylo) right now will end up finding her to be their favorite after they’ve seen the movie. Just a hunch.

My favourite is definitley palpatine. Every Scene he is in his character is just brilliantly written and also he got to be played by such an amazing actor as Ian McDiarmid. Imo he’s pretty much the greatest villian in cinema history. My new favourite will probably be Rey or Kylo Ren.

My favorite character in the new trilogy was Luke Skywalker, I remember when I watch the original trilogy even before the prequels, I was 5 years old and I was fascinated for this excited adventure. Luke was the hero, the guy which life changed drastically, the guy who never give up even when he have to choose to confront his father in order to bring peace to the galaxy. Years later I understood even more about Luke, his life, his motivation, specially the dream of leaving his home to have an adventure, because I kinda did the same. He is such an example of will and success. Now the new movie I think my favorite character will be Rey, she is almost my age and the few things that I see in her, are the same emotions that I see in myself when I’m so far from home. She looks so brave and hungry for adventure, but at the same time, she looks humble. I cannot wait to see her in action, I’m pretty sure that she won’t disappoint.

My Favorite character from Star Wars is Yoda. Wise he is! He was the guy with all of the answers, whether or not he wanted to completely give it. There is a lot to learn from a figure like Yoda.

I think my new favorite will be Rey. From what dialog we’ve seen so far she looks INCREDIBLY charming, while being able to totally kick butt at the same time. I think I may have a new crush!

Favorite STAR WARS character so far? Tuff choice… I love characters who switches side, so would have to go for either Vader or Lando.
Who I think will be my favorite in TFA? I think Finn will have a great story, from being a storm trooper to presumably becoming a jedi. If he makes it into the next movie! 😉

favorite classic star wars character: yoda. even though he’s been in exile for many years and seems as though he’s been getting high on some natural dagobah narcotics, his connection to the force has never diminished. he is the embodiment of “size matters not” and i think that’s wonderful. favorite new character: kylo ren. adam driver has specified that kylo is a three-dimensional character who isn’t necessarily viewed as evil, but rather “morally justified” in his actions. i think it’ll be interesting to see his take on this new antagonist in the saga.

In this film? New or old. Old would probably be Han since it’s really great to see him back in the role I’d never thought I’d see him play again and actually excited to play it again. Far as new goes, Probably Rey. I’m very glad we’ll be seeing a female protagonist for once who won’t be bogged down by bad lines of romantic dialogue or at least in this film. Like Luke, I’m hoping that they don’t feel the need to give her a love interest in the next one.

My favorite Star Wars character is the one and only Han Solo. Not only is he played amazingly by Harrison Ford, but he has what many characters in Star Wars lack: a character arc. He goes from the rough-and-tumble space cowboy to a true hero and friend. I can’t wait to see what Ford and JJ will add to the character in the next movie.

As for the next film, I can already see that my favorite character will be Rey, and not just because she’s the star. She’s been looking for a family, for a place to call home, for nearly her entire life. If Daisy Ridley’s performance is anything close to the amazing experience it’s been in the trailers, I know that this character will become an instant classic.

My favorite classic character has, and always will be, C-3PO. The prissy protocol droid is simply one of the funniest, kindest, most relatable characters in the saga, even if he CAN get on your nerve from time to time.

I have no idea who would win between these characters from the next film: Rey, Finn, or BB-8, but I’m sure it will be one of those.

I think Tarkin was a great character. In the film he’s pretty flat, but in the Tarkin novel he has a very in-depth and interesting character. Kind of the embodiment of the spirit of the Empire.

As far as the new film, Poe Dameron seems pretty cool, although I suspect Rey’ll be my favorite. There’s just something about her that is very easy to empathize with.

My favorite classic character is Luke Skywalker, because he really has in a sense, a rags-to-riches story, blended in with sci-fi, politics, and mystical teachings. The one I’m looking forward to the most is Finn! As a side note, my favorite prequel trilogy character is Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi (very well portrayed), and currently, my favorite overall is Arc Trooper Fives.

Favorite classic character is definitely Han Solo. He brought the western cowboy aspect to Star Wars that was a perfect grounding point for the mystical Jedi aspect. I have a feeling Rey will be the standout of the new movie, although Finn’s story seems interesting.

Han. We’re both scruffy looking nerf-herders that don’t trust hokey religions and ancient weapons. I think Finn will be my new favorite. Boyega’s enthusiasm and humor are a good balance to Ridley’s strong, grounded Rey.

My favorite character is the Star Wars universe is definitely Emperor
Palpatine (AKA Lord Sidious). He is the master of deception and even
turned a trusted Jedi and friend into one of the most feared beings in
the galaxy. His evil smile and stare reaches into me every time I see
him. He is nothing but pure evil. In the new film I have a lot riding on
Supreme Leader Snoke. I have heard a lot of interesting things about
him and look forward to seeing if any of those rumors are true. If it is
he could be the coolest character in my opinion.

My favorite character, as it is with most people, is Han Solo. I was raised watching westerns with my grandpa (who was like a father to me) so to have a character that harkened back to those beloved memories (in a way) really helped me fall in love with the series. So far, in the new trilogy, I think my new favorite may be BB-8. I’ve always loved the droids of Star Wars, and the creators of this new film could not have done a better job with this new (possible) astromech.

My favourite classic Star Wars character is probably Leia or Luke.
Leia, because of she was nothing else I have seen in movies, or on tv shows. She was such a great, strong leader, but with also a nice heart. She knew how to control people, but cared about her friends too.
Luke, because of he has felt all the things I’ve felt in my life: wanting to have a better life, not sitting and just living, wanting to make a difference. And his character development is great!

My favorite character of all time in the Star Wars Universe would be Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker.

If you take out the acting and the sci-fi aspect of the character and look at his life, you find a person who has suffered, who is hurt, discarded by the galaxy as a slave, a no one. It’s not his fault he was born a slave, but he had to live with it. When he had a chance to be free, not only was he free but he went from the bottom of the Class scale to one of the most revered people in the galaxy, a Jedi Knight.

He fell in love, he mad a mistake and he fell to the Darkside, or in real life, he was lost to his demons. His past haunted him, all he wanted to do was care for the ones he loved and he lost them because he lost who he was. In the end he was able to redeem himself, he couldn’t undo all of the pain he had caused for others, but he could stop the Emperor or in a metaphorical sense (his demons) from hurting any others when he killed Palpatine. And his children could know that in the end their father was a great person who made mistakes.

I can relate to this, as a man and as a father, I’ve made mistakes because I just want to protect my family. I’ve done bad things I regret, all for the sake of helping others. But I have been able to overcome them. We are human, we make mistakes and we have to live with them, but we can’t allow our mistakes to rule our lives, we must realize that we have to move forward and continue to better ourselves like Vader/Anakin did. He was brought back to the “light side” and righted his wrongs.

This is why I believe that Kylo Ren will be my favorite character in the ST. We will see a story of pain and suffering, of loss and despair. This will all lead back to a tale of great redemption. There is good in everyone, no matter how hard we fight it or try and deny it.

My favorite from the original series is R2-D2 because he is consistently underestimated but pulls through for others all the time. For the new series, Finn looks promising: someone who gets fed up with the status quo and learns the kind of impact one man can make.

My Favourite character would have to be palpatine, this would be because, although we don’t see him much in the OT you can tell from his scenes just how truly evil he is. He’s portrayed so well and its great to watch him try and tempt luke to the dark side. As for TFA, I’m really looking forward to kylo ren, he seems like a very complex character that might rival vader himself.

My favorite classic character is probably Luke Skywalker. His openness and willingness to embrace the force and use it to become a jedi and save the galaxy is inspiring. And he doesn’t need a love interest to be an interesting main character which is cool.

I think Kylo Ren will be my favorite character in the force awakens because he looks badass, sounds badass, and carries himself like an enforcer (like Vader) and all of that is awesome.
