Disney Channel to Host a New Behind-The-Scenes Video of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Plus New TV Spot!
Just in case tonight’s special look at The Force Awakens on ABC’s TGIT block wasn’t enough to entice you, Disney Channel will be hosting a special of their own tomorrow at 8:30 PM EST! New footage is shown in a promotional video leading into it, promising a look ahead at the movie’s “new worlds” – including what appears to be a planetary shot of Takodana.
It feels funny knowing that about a month ago, a lot of us (Myself included!) were worried that Disney was risking under-exposing their new cash cow. Since this month started, it’s beginning to look as though we’re going to get Star Wars content up to our ears in the remaining five weeks ’til the movie comes out!
Also here’s a new TV spot with a slightly extended scene of Han, Chewie and Finn:
Grant has been a fan of Star Wars for as long as he can remember, having seen every movie on the big screen. When he’s not hard at work with his college studies, he keeps himself busy by reporting on all kinds of Star Wars news for SWNN and general movie news on the sister site, Movie News Net. He served as a frequent commentator on SWNN’s The Resistance Broadcast.
Remember when Disney did “Wizards of Waverly Place?” which was a take off of Harry Potter?
I can only imagine that Disney will make a similar show taken from Star Wars…
It would be “Galaxy High” or something silly like that ..
I so hope you are wrong…..but sadly you’re probably right
As long as they don’t slap the Star Wars label on it, who cares?
Of course! Not expressed clearly but that’s what I meant
THIS FILM IS NOT YET RATED!!!
NC-17 is just around the corner, folks!
Luke is a pimp
They’re still trying to make the hardcore Leia/Chewbacca scene more “tasteful.”
Not Rated..still cutting the movie then?
The finished film could have been submitted and awaiting classification. Does anyone know the lead-times of the approval process?
Interesting..I just checked the BBFC website who rate them here in the UK and you can pay for an Express 2 Day service otherwise it’s 7-10 days depending on volume of movies they have at the time.
Thanks for the info. Can’t see a movie like TFA not choosing the 2 day express service. Maybe due to secrecy, he’s leaving the submission to the very last moment. With less than 5 weeks to its European release it must be near the completed product.
Getting a rating is a negotiation process. It’s a nebulous pseudo-science.
Yes. The late Daniel watched a 4-hour cut.
They be trying to submitting it to as few places possible to avoid leaks. Or at the very least, just submitting as late as possible.
That extended hyperspace shot is AWESOME!
J.J., you rock.
what exact time is this airing? also, is this the same inside look that ABC is showing??
Meh, I very much doubt they will show us anything we haven’t seen or already know if their Marvel specials are any indication of what this will be like.
