‘LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’ is One of the Top Five Best-Selling Games of 2022
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga had a tough path to get made, but the end result has cemented itself as one of the best-selling games of last year.
NPD has revealed sales figures for the best-selling games of all of 2022. While there are no sales figures officially included on this list for a handful of reasons, NPD has managed to track how well titles have sold relative to each other based on internal data. When all is said and done, The Skywalker Saga sits comfortably in fifth place when accounting for the year’s top ten releases:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) by Activision Blizzard.
- Elden Ring by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
- Madden NFL 23 by Electronic Arts.
- God of War: Ragnarok by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga by Warner Bros. Interactive.
- Pokémon: Scarlet and Violet by Nintendo.
- FIFA 23 by Electronic Arts.
- Pokémon Legends: Arceus by Nintendo.
- Horizon II: Forbidden West by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
- MLB: The Show 22 by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The Skywalker Saga is, like most of the titles on this list, a multiplatform game, and is available to purchase on Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Something worth noting is that, for whatever reason, Nintendo does not share digital sales figures with NPD, unlike Microsoft and Sony — so if one were to account for the digital sales of the title on the Nintendo Switch, it may actually be even higher up on the sales charts for the year than this listing would otherwise indicate.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is available to purchase now, with all downloadable content (representing characters from beyond the nine movies adapted into the video game) available to purchase. The game also has a Galactic Edition which has all the DLC packs bundled in with the game.
