Names For Two Rebels Episodes After The Fall Finale Surface

When Star Wars Rebels returns early next year for the home stretch of episodes, it will mark the first time a Star Wars television show comes to its intended conclusion. If you want a hint at what to expect in the next wave of episodes before another trailer (presumably) drops before the end of the year, click ahead for two episode names.

According to Fernsehserien.de, the next two episodes of Rebels following “Rebel Assault” will be called “Allegiance” and “One Giant Step Ahead”. Really not much else to say here, as there are sadly no descriptions or air dates to go with these episodes. The show will presumably resume sometime in January, looking at earlier patterns for how the show has aired so far.

I really hope they delve more into Ezra’s relationship with the dark side of the Force. that’s the only thing bugging me about this season, there’s been no hint of Ezra flirting with the dark at all, when it’s always been one of the main themes and plot points.

I think the scene were ezra is fighting with lizard guy was to show us that Ezra is clearly back in the light side, I think that was the only reason for that scene, Ezra could just pushed him to the fire, or at least being hesitant, but he chosed not to, and the lizard falls by its own mistake.

I’ll be very upset if there’s nothing about it. There needs to be one final challenge for him. How they so easily resolved all of his issues in season 3 and never brought it up again has always bothered me.

I honestly think that ship has sailed. If they didn’t address it in Season 3 at all, then I would guess they won’t with the limited time they have left to tell.

Yes, he couldn’t even force-push the small trandoshan into the furnace. What dark side are you talking about? That door is closed.

That honestly, was the biggest mishap for me in third season. That plotline just felt like it was abandoned in third season. And really, my question is why? If there was one thing I could praise about Rebels, it was the seeds they had placed for Ezra going dark side.

And really, I think it could have worked very well. Who knows? He could turn dark side, but truthfully, my question would be why towards the end? Why not have him turn in third season and have the fourth season focus on him being a dark side Force user?

That would have added some stakes, especially given how the Ghost crew are like family. But hey; to fans, I guess I will be seen as a nitpicker and “hater”. 🙂

I hope the next cartoon tv series are called Star Wars: Jedi Academy, focusing on the attempts of Luke to restore the Jedi Order and on the restoration of the republic and the First order. Would be the best idea ever considering the huge 30 year gap between ROTJ and TFA.

And probably include Ezra as the new Kyle Katarn with Luke finishing his education and making him his right hand, after Caleb Dume’s presumable death in the end of Rebels.

I feel like that would be the show everyone wants to make, but they had to wait for at least TLJ to come out in order to fill in the gaps.

I heard the guy that plays Luke also dabbles in voice acting. Don’t quote me on that though.

I do hope your jesting. Mark Hamill is an exceptional voice action, and outside of Luke is best known for his numerous roles in animation.

I thought when I said “The guy that plays Luke” got the point across as I was commenting on a Star Wars fan site, but yes I am very aware of Mark Hamill’s voice acting career.

Yeah, though, I would have wanted that concept to be within the ST as something like the New Jedi Order would have been a fantastic place to go forth. But hey; I would be done for the NJO being in a TV show. I just hope that we get the Jedi or some organization back after the ST.

It’s more likely to be a cartoon show because they can create/draw young Luke, Leia and Han versions. If it’s a TV show they must cast new actors and it won’t feel right.

Cool. I will be honest; I haven’t been the biggest fan of Rebels overall, especially from a narrarive perspective. Characters not so much; they are good. But this season has impressed me. In my view, it goes back to first season’s quality of storytelling with there being a focused, clear narrative.

I always felt like Rebels was better with limited episodes so as that limited count would aid in keeping a focused, clear narrative. Second season and much more third season suffered heavily from this to which their main plots in my view felt paper thin.

But I also admit it helps that Rebels is releasing double episodes which is awesome. That actually helps the show quite a bit. Overall, I am happy that Fioni decided to end Rebels without it overstaying its welcome.

Much as I have come to appreciate TCW, even I will admit; that the show very much overstayed its welcome. So, good bit of learning Fioni. I hope going forward you can find success with either new series or perhaps a live action venture.

    A TV show, perhaps?

Hopefully Ahsoka comes back in the last episode and kills Ezra for being so annoying. Then Zeb dies in some spectacular way, marking the first time he was spectacular. Sabine goes off somewhere. I don’t care where. And Kanan lives on, hiding out in the bowels of the Ghost so that everyone thinks all the Jedi are dead. We know Hera and Chopper live — so be it.

I take it you don’t like Rebels? To be fair, I’m not so over the moon with the series and has its moments. But truthfully, I think that outside the first season, it is okay. As in, I like the characters and not so much the narrative.

For me I was willing to “forgive” the first season’s rather poor start because I was still basking in the afterglow of the great Clone Wars series. The second season of Rebels had its share of clunkers and juvenile characters/plot/dialog, but was an improvement. Probably because of the inclusion of great characters like Darth Vader, Tarkin, the Emperor, Ahsoka, and Darth Maul.

By the third season I became utterly aware of the show’s erratic demographic targeting. After 3 seasons I was finally able to remove my rose-colored Star Wars fanboi glasses and realize that the show is pretty sucky, and fans deserve SO MUCH MORE.

I have never really had a reason to be openly hostile toward any Star Wars property before, so this is a unique situation I find myself in. (Now joined by the also-sucky Forces of Destiny.)

I have come to the conclusion that a Star Wars fan should not just sit back and take bad programming from Lucasfilm, just because of fandom. Star Wars fans should complain about the bad shows and material just as much as we crow about the great stuff, because maybe just maybe Lucasfilm will listen.

I am very happy that Rebels is ending, and I’m also happy with the way they are ending it — by showing episodes back-to-back instead of drawing it out antagonistically. Even better would be a Netflix-style release of all episodes at once, but two at once is fine.

Hopefully the next big TV series will not be on Disney XD, and will aim at a somewhat older audience.

I was never the biggest fan of TCW; I preferred the micro-series. But after Rebels; I do prefer TCW in terms of its ambition. Season one of Rebels I enjoyed due to how focused it was. The limited episode count meant; they couldn’t waste time on so much filler. And I enjoyed the characters. I still do.

The second season for me was rough due to how thin the main story was with Vader barely showing up and the Inquisitors who barely did anything. Also, the filler was awful, minus Hera’s stuff. Though, Hondou was a plus. The finale was good, but it wasn’t worth sitting through. The third season pissed me off because Thrawn was a complete dumbass.

Yes, he does play the long game and I was willing to wait and see, hoping he would strike a decisive blow. But nothing happened. No characters died and worse the Bendu was utterly wasted. Also, the series really dropped the ball with Ezra. Way to set up a good turn to the dark side and just cop out. That said, the filler was a lot better, but really the main story, while more apparent, was still weak.

I can see your point of being critical. I genuinely hate how tribalistic the SWs fandom is. Both with detractors and praisers who blindly accept material. if they like it, cool. But really, there is nothing wrong with being critical towards something you love. Because it does showcase that you do care.

As for another show not being on Disney; I wish. I highly doubt it, but yeah; I’m not holding my breath. But as for the final season, yes; I do love how it is double episodes as it makes consuming the show a lot better. And heck, they should have done that from the start.

I hope that “One Giant Step Ahead” is a Thrawn centered episode. How he played them all.

Rey is white, pretty damn white.
Ezra’s parents are sort of Arab looking, as is he, and Sabine looks Asian!
So, maybe have another guess, eh?!
