Felicity Jones should talk more. I don’t care what talks about or what the subject is, just want to listen to her.

It’s clear that the filmmakers specifically chose to cast again another posh, british brunette as the central figure in the Star Wars movie – I wonder why they didn’t just take a further leap and cast an ethnic female/non-British accent as the lead? After all, some of the actresses being speculated upon for Ep VIII fitted that criteria suitably.
Looking forward immensely to the movie ‘Rogue One’ and Jones’ performance, but I can’t help thinking she’s the poshest “rebel”, poshest “street kid” in the SW galaxy.

What is an “ethnic” female? I’m pretty sure Felicity has an ethnic background…

        That’s a nice way of saying anyone who’s non-white/dark-skinned.

Then say non-white…no PC nonsense. I say give the part to the best actress who auditions…I could care less about their color. If it was Felicity Jones then so be it.

Maybe that makes her character all the more intriguing.

Of course we’ll have to wait and watch the film first, but if she ends up being Rey’s Mum, then it probably makes sense that she has brown hair and a British accent.

I hope this isn’t true. Everything in the SW universe doesn’t need to tie together. George Lucas overdid the “connections” I the prequels.

Lol, you British peoples are mighty funny. YA’ALL.

Top donator this week wins that thing?! Hmmm….how much do you think a signed stormtrooper helmet from Rogue One would cost? Haha

You know last year they needed to use movie props to convince donating, this year they just get the cast to talk…

That’s because we were excited out of minds to see absolutely anything from the sets of TFA. Now we are all a bit more relaxed. A bit! 😛

Cool campaign, but Felicity Jones seems rather…wooden. JJ was pretty animated in his Force For Change blurbs, and Kennedy and Hamill played off each other nicely on their recent clip. Heck, even old man Ford seemed uncharacteristically playful on his campaign videos. Hopefully Gareth Edwards can coax a dynamic performance out of her. Other than looking kick-ass in the Imperial get-up I wasn’t 100% sold on her like I was with Daisy Ridley when TFA’s teaser debuted.

I get the same feeling, in this video she is speaking but it feels so emotionless and dry

She’s probably not that good at being all official and nice. They wouldn’t have hired her is she weren’t a good actress.

She was decent as Stephen Hawking’s wife in “The Theory of Everything”, and absolutely forgettable in the generally craptacular “Amazing Spider-Man 2”. No doubt she’s capable but I love the way Ridley and Boyega seemed absolutely stoked in all their publicity appearances leading up to the release. Their genuine gusto could also be seen in their spirited performances onscreen. I just want Felicity to be stoked too. Then again, acting is pretending so if she can convey ‘not bored’ then mission accomplished (?).

Well did you see how boring and dry the acting was in Godzilla?

Yes but the running joke from Ford, Fisher from many interviews over last 38 years is he same. Faster…more intense. Leading me to believe he directed the same way.

Agreed. Let’s not forget how long it took Driver to look even semi-comfortable in real life interviews and conversations – and his on-screen performance was great.

Agreed. Even Harrison Ford used to be super awkward in interviews, and he’s always been a great actor.

It would have been cool if they showed something new not seen in the teaser like they did with the TFA ones. I think a lifesize model of the Imperial robot that Tudyk’s supposed to play would have been a better prize too.
