Star Wars is lame. It’s just about Mr. Spock and a brown gorilla fighting with glowing swords. I think the’re called lifesavers. I don’t even know why I bother to come to this website.

A great episode, giving an incredible idea to hyperspace’s origins.

There were a lot of scenes, creatures, point-of-view shots… a LOT of things that reminded me of Star Trek. Whether that was intentional or not, that was my biggest takeaway from this episode.

I did like the whole hyperspace thing. I liked Ezra being able to make a connection with the space whales. And I liked how the bad guy actually DIED for once.

But it wasn’t that cool. He fell into some misty explosion this thing. This guy got fucking chewed to death. Awwww yeah.

No he was not chewed only held so they could suffocate him in the plasma mist below the refinery.

I think episode Blood sisters was more of a star trek episode. Because the fight between the starships resembled that slow mechanism star trek battles have.

I can’t help but i love episodes like these. Episode which is about space whales yet in the end. We know something more about hyperspace travel origins.

Anyone else think that death was quite brutal ?

Like seriously it looked like something from Jaws.

Entertaining, but alas – the episode decidedly falls in the “Filler” column: Would be lovely if we could get back to the Ahsoka / Vader thread one of these weeks. Bit frustrating too to have them dangling this whole Dark Side / Sith temple (pyramid) footage, then cock-block the story arc for 3 consecutive weeks (Mandos, Lasat, now ST:IV space whales…). C’mon! Throw us ADHD kids a friggin’ bone here! SQUIRREL!

The last two felt like fillers. Great ideas but with only 22 minutes per Episode the actual impact is lost very quickly. I wished for more Rebel vs. imperial Tyranny, doing good and find out more of what a Jedi in such dark times has to be.

It was a nice episode, but it was filler. At this point, i am done with the filler episodes. Get to the story!!

Definite filler. I think the release of the season 2B trailer has actually had a negative effect on the past several episodes. Stepping back and forgetting the trailer for a moment, I really enjoyed the last few episodes, this one included. The purrgils were really awesome and I loved the freshness that these new creatures brought to the episode. They were also well-utilized.

Ezra’s growing abilities and his deep connection to the living Force was also a welcome aspect of the episode. I also enjoyed how the bad guy went out – it was unexpected and added to the realization that these purrgils are extremely dangerous if provoked. My son and I were watching last night, and he was like, “I wish those purrgils would just kill that guy (and I thought, how very dark and twisted of you son…but anyways…).” And then immediately after that “CHOMP!”. It was pretty satisfying for both of us. Lol.

However, I can’t just forget that I saw that awesome trailer. And the longer I go without seeing these things happen in the show, the more impatient I become. I’m ready for some meaty story arcs. Hopefully those last five we reported on the other day will be slap full of awesomeness.

I liked it, seems like I’m the one to enjoy these fillers way more than actually story line ahha. What did work very well in this one was Rebels fighting mining guild. I’d rather have that, than them kicking Empire’s ass week after week, making the most powerful organization in galaxy feel like a total circus run by idiots. I mean, seeing them defeat Kallus again and again is ridiculous, wasn’t he supposed to be the top imperial agent or something? The inquisitors pose no threat whatsoever its crazy, I’d love to see the show focus more on conflict with Mandalore, bounty hunters, mining guild or whoever and have the direct confrontation with Empire only like once in every four episodes or smth. It would make it way more exciting in my opinion and somehow give Imps some credibility.

It was cool to see Ezra grow more and more powerful, turning from the whiny kid I had to bear with for the past 20 episodes into somewhat mature, quasi-Jedi. Makes me really look forward to him turning to the dark side in season 3 and becoming an indie pirate jedi by the end of the series.

The only thing that sucked really was the initial Pyrgil threat. When they all go “they gonna destroy the ship!” and then you see on screen like 5 of them? Haha. They could have easily dived down and escape the shoal. Also the notion that they are cold inside of the ship while they don’t even shiver outside in space is just plain ridiculous. I give it a pass since SW was never science accurate (the spaceship sounds etc) but still, it was soo stupid to see it in the context of how they were freezing in the opening sequence.

Overall, it was cool, I’d don’t mind Rebels on the days like this.

Still thousands times better than Starkiller thrashing Vader all over place like some kind lowly apprentice.

And defeating half of the Empire best along the way.

Actually Hera told them they could not avoid the Pyrgil being low on fuel.

Out in space the suits keep them warm. They do not use them while inside because they would not be able to use them in an emergency.

I enjoyed it a lot more then I thought I would. The quality this season is definitely a step up, even if there isn’t a great deal of overall story progression.

Funny, this episode of TNG came to mind right away when I watched it. Other than a space animal who eats fuel it wasn’t similar though. They don’t go around stealing and murdering people in Star Trek.

Just because the episode doesn’t tie into overall story arc doesn’t mean it’s a filler. The content wasn’t entirely innovative but what’s here is very well done. I enjoyed it a lot. Plus the lightsaber animations keep getting smoother and more natural. Loved the creatures too, similar but still alien and mysterious.

An episode that doesn’t fit into the overall story arc is the exact definition of filler, as it pertains to TV shows. The term “filler,” doesn’t mean bad, but that’s what most people think it means, because thats how the term is most often used.

So they went in, stole the peoples fuel they were selling to the government and after they were done stealing it and had won they turned around and killed everyone who was still alive in the base with a missile. They’re the good guys eh?

You know, I was thinking the exact same thing. So the Ghost crew went in and shot this place up, murdered everyone, and stole their fuel? They couldn’t have just offered a few credits for the fuel and then been on their way? My kid was jabbering away the whole time so I wanted to go back and rewatch it just to make sure I wasn’t missing something.

Yeah, even if they HAD to take it, at the end they had taken out all the defenders and they still blew the base up. Maybe all that was left were the families. I was thinking the same thing in the B-Wing episode when they threatened to kill the scientist if his prototype didn’t work, prototypes kill test pilots all the time, the engineers aren’t killed. I just wish they’d show how these actions back fire for them, instead everyone is always against the Empire even though they actually take priosners.

You forget that the rebels at at war with the empire. Imagine a small group of paratroopers who have dropped into Germany in world war 2. The paratroopers see a fuel depot where the German army is storeing gas and refuelling tanks, bombers and other engines of war. The only course of action for the paratroopers is to blow the depot. It doesn’t matter if the workers at the depot are military. Allowing the gas to fule war machines will result in more deaths in the end.

This is exactly what I was saying to my girlfriend as we were watching the episode. Don’t these writers think this stuff through? It was a neat story but they for real did some savage shit.

I want to like this show and I keep trying… Old characters return makes me tune in. The new Rebels are just too Disney marketing created and lame. Kill them off along with the team that calls the shots on the making of this show

It was an ambitious episode, and parts of it were cool — and very pretty. I liked the Jedi mysticism & the glimpse into the ancient history of this galaxy. The Ghost’s plan seemed awfully cut-throat. I mean, the miners weren’t pleasant people — but blowing them all up after robbing them seems a bit extreme.
