“Become More Powerful” With This New Live-Action Star Wars Battlefront Trailer.

Star-Wars-Battlefront-FIghter-Squadron-Mode-1280x720With the release of Star Wars Battlefront rapidly approaching, another live-action ad has arrived to promote it. In this video, players are shown as being lost in the immersion of the game, disappearing from the real world like Obi-Wan disappeared at the end of A New Hope.

How cool would it be to actually have Anna Kendrick in Star Wars?

Ok…maybe not THAT cool, but still it was a neat commercial. Kind of creepy at first, but not bad overall.

Please no. I don’t know what it is, but her face annoys me. I can only assume I’m sensing the dark side in her. She should probably be destroyed.

Anna Kendrick would be great as a cocky sidekick or something, she kind of looks like Aphra.

I think I would freak the F out if everyone around me was disappearing like that…

Those are hot springs. They’re a popular attraction in Iceland, which Sullust was based on. That particular map was playable in the beta.

This ad just seems wrong to me. I mean I get what they are trying to invoke but technically Obi-Wan let himself be killed so he could become one with the Force. So what are we saying here… everyone in the ad is “becoming one with the force”?

    Well isn’t that morbid 😛

At the end a bunch of blue force ghosts waiting for a bus should say… “Maybe we should have thought this through?”

Not to be a kill joy, but this commercial seemed like an ironic PSA for living actual life rather than a simulated one. It’s full of people abandoning much more worthwhile things in order to sit in front of a screen to play a video game. Don’t get me wrong, though I’m not a gamer, I do sit and watch movies and TV shows for hours a day so I don’t judge people who immerse themselves in the gaming world. It was just difficult to view this particular commercial as a positive commentary for any of us fans. Having said that, I’ve learned nothing…back to my Star Wars marathon.

Wow. They missed it on this ad. Spent way too much time focusing on the stupid people and not the real gameplay. When I read live action I expected real people in star wars costumes doing cool stuff not just randoms losing their clothes. Whatever game is still cool but they could do better promoting it
