I’m just loving all these Clone-centric episodes. The battle in the sand storm was so amazing and the scene at the end between Ahsoka and Rex was just great. I miss Clone Wars, but I’m grateful to see these great characters carry over.

I agree. It’s cool that Disney is letting the us see what has become of some of the characters that we got attached to through The Clone Wars m/

Yea exactly they could’ve been like Nope, we don’t want the audience being confused about characters from another show that’s not even airing on our network (or has it?). But they didn’t.

I think they are doing job bridging the Clone Wars with Rebels, as well as bridging the PT and OT together. Makes me wonder if there will be another that bridges the OT and the new ST

I wouldn’t be surprised if they did try to bridge some of the OT with the ST. I think it might be a bit hard with the time line since this would be a pretty long time before the ST. So there’d have to be really faint hints? How many Years would it be between the beginning of Star Wars Rebels and The Force Awakens??

I think 40 years? But I think they would have to do an entirely new show to bridge the OT and the ST they couldn’t do it with Rebels

            Yea, they most likely would.

Its funny most of you liked this episode, myself, I find these last two episodes boring. While I get that they need to build up again to more action and such these stories really didn’t do it for me at all. I can understand people find it cool to see those clone troopers again, the way done has so much empty space in it (don’t know how to explain really) The last few episodes of season one, and the first of two were so good in my opinion that these last two were a big let down. The end of the episode promises something good though

It’s an episode where an AT-TE takes on 3 AT-ATs… hard to repel fan service of that magnitude!

i liked the episode. great pacing and rythm, something that terribly failed across whole season 1 where every episode felt extremely rushed.

    what i didn’t like:
too literate visula quotes from OT: the walker zoom in , and Zeb reprising Chewie’s attack on At-St from ROTJ, Filoni and team could use some originality not blindly referencinng OT in every episode to please old school fans. TCW nver did that.

Kalluss fails again. how many more times will he have to fail for Vader to terminate him? they said he’s like super high in Imperial hierachy of secret agents, yet there was no single operation he handled where he suceeded. its kinda ridiculous, like 80’s cartoons all over again where villains always loose and we’re left with “next time I’ll get you Gadget!” moment at the end.

but overall the series is progressing in good direction imo

How are the OT visual cues bad? Filoni and his team aren’t the only ones to do this. They’re using vehicles and weapons from the OT, so why not show some homage to the movies that inspired what you’re seeing on this new TV show?

I think Kallus gets a pass because they pulled his air support leaving him stranded by Vader’s orders. So the powers that be may see that as a forgivable excuse. I do agree though… his running away was almost to much of a “next time!”

Also I felt the could have made the AT-AT versus AT-TE a bit more tactical. I loved the focusing on the weak spots… and the TE should have been getting more wrecked to help sell the old versus the new. Also the AT-ATs going down should have had that epic slow fall of a Titan. Not just a paper cup tipping over lol.

Nit picking really… I liked it overall

I really enjoyed this episode. Love how they introduced the AT-AT similarly to in Empire. Also enjoyed the Wrath of Khan vibe during the sandstorm.

Great, great episode. It’s probably my second favorite behind the season 1 finale. I haven’t been this excited about a Star Wars land battle since Endor. But, in a way, it felt more like a ww2 submarine movie with the destroyers circling around a sub. that evades detection by every trick in the book. The only nitpicks I had were (*spoilers*) the incredibly light losses suffered by the rebels. I thought at least one Clone should have died so the battle’s outcome didn’t seem too good to be true. If Vader doesn’t dispose of Kallus for losing 3 AT-ATs with nothing gained, then the show will lose some credibility. Also, I still don’t understand why the Star Destroyer didn’t secure the Ghost. Even if energy scans detected nothing, the S.D. should have pulled the Ghost into the SD’s hold to guarantee no escape for the rebels. However, those are just nitpicks.

I thought the same thing about the Ghost. I felt the Star Destroyer should have caught it on scanner immediately. But then again maybe that’s why it’s called the Ghost. Perhaps there’s something about that ship we don’t know yet.

I really enjoyed the whole dust storm sequence. It was kind of like a submarine movie in a very cool way. Definitely did not see that coming.
Are these AT-ATs supposed to be the same model as the ones we see in Ep.5? They seemed smaller. No troops were transported… there were just the two drivers (and Kallus), that seemed a bit weird, to me.

I think they slightly different. Some overall shape but there was something fresh about the AT-ATs in this episode
