I rather liked that Hera’s accent began to slip when she was upset.

I didn’t like it at first, but Vanessa Marshall speaking in an accent…..well….that I can wholly endorse.

She’s actually fluent in French. They even asked if she could do the French accent when they first cast her.

I did also. I wanted to hear her like that for the rest of the episode. 🙂 Maybe the French/Twi’leki will resurface again in a future episode.

it’s funny that the show finally addressed this. Since the “Spark of Rebellion” I have been wondering why Hera didn’t have the accent that all the Basic-speaking Twi’leks on TCW used. I never wanted to believe it was an oversight or a retcon, it’s awesome to know that it was in fact a choice of Hera’s.

    Filler. That is all.

P.S. Them using the big ship at the end of the season doesn’t count as “setup & payoff”. They could practically explain it in one line.

      Filler doesn’t always mean bad.

But in this case, (when the last 5 or so episodes have been filler) it is.

Agree – liked the episode, but DUDE – GET to the Sith / Force / Jedi Temple & Ahsoka / Vader bits already! 4 consecutive weeks w/ no advance of the story arc in sight!

This guest-star-of-the-week thing is starting to remind me of those Scooby Doo episodes. Who’s making an appearance next week, the Three Stooges or Don Knotts?

is Don Knotts still alive? if not, someone bring him back just so he can voice a character on REBELS, preferably a Rebel constable name Baarni F’ife.

I loved this episode. I love the characters of Rebels so I don’t care if they have so called “filler” episodes. I am glad we get over 20 episodes this season. I don’t like that I had to pay Amazon twice for the season pass though. I have been impress with this season. This series will run for at least another season or two, so we won’t see the complete formation of the Rebellion until the series is towards its end of its run.

No wait a second… this episode was good. A new ship is ontroduced, TIE bombers appeared in rebels extensively and we got to see their interiors, and we saw Cham’s movement briefly. The battle of Ryloth was the first great battle depicted in a story arc in the Clone Wars, after the Battle of Christophsis, so it held some importance for me. Cham syndulla became a quite important character in star wars after his inclusion in TCW and “Lords of the sith”, and this episode had some really good space battle sequences, so I wouldn’t debunk it as a common filler episode, as was the last week episode, just like all the episodes with Lando or Leia appearing were entertaining. Also that’s the way this show works, single entries that slowly set things. TCW relied much on season finales too… I mean Maul came in at the season finale, Chewie did the same, and so on. It was a very good entry. This and the interdictor one where some of the most entertaining episodes. AND FINALLY THE FLEET IS TAKING SHAPE!!!

I enjoyed the episode, but if I were honest I’m getting a bit bored with space battles above planets. I’d like to see more diverse stories like we had with Clone Wars. Still, the mid season trailer suggests that things will change soon.

Honestly, I think the show is incredibly dull even for a kids show. Besides the bland straight from a can premise, it spends too much time lingering around and most of the episodes are real non events. Every time you think they’re going to kick it up a notch it goes right back where it started, it would be more forgivable if the characters weren’t so bland and homogenized and the story weren’t so familiar, I don’t think I’d even find Rebels particularly enjoyable even if I were still a young kid. It’s exactly what you’d expect Disney to do with a property like Star Wars.

One more episode like this and im done. Even my Son is getting bored. Dave Filoni needs to brush up on his Canon, that is not the Cham that i know…the two twileks would have NEVER went against Cham so easily to follow hera.and why the hell wasnt Kanan doing anything on that ship??? He’s a frickin JEDI! He followed behind Hera like a little bitch to the deck and waited for her to speak. He could have just went in there and wiped everyone out….and he didnt sense it when Ezra was stunned? Gimme a break. I love this show… But the last few episodes were complete trash. Waiting a week to get 15 minutes of garbage is already old.

one of the worst episodes of the season. They butchered Cham’s character. Did the writers even read Lords of the Sith

Solid episode – I actually think Cham was a bit closer to DLS Cham than you guys are saying. Even in DLS, his crew sometimes has to save him from himself, but I do agree that wasn’t pulled off very well – way too cute, his crew should have argued with a bit more passion.

Honestly, the worst thing they’ve done was release that trailer. lol

This episode had a strong “Star Wars” feel to it, both the OT with the fleet taking shape and the PT with kanan and ezra showcasing their unfolding jedi abilities. But sometimes the episode slowed down to the point it disrupts the flow,so overall it was just average. For me overall, rebels is very enjoyable but just not close to how epic and complete the clone wars felt to me. One reason is kanan, his personality is just not compelling at all. The writers need to developa reason for us to care about him.

I’m disappointed with how they keep showing us interesting looking planets from orbit while actually never showing them in the end, save a few (and those few being rather similar to one another in several ways). This has happened several times now, namely with Mustafar. It would’ve been nice to see Ryloth again, but instead, nothing on the surface. At least we’ll get to see that Sith planet, soon, so that’s something…
