Star Wars: The Force Awakens LEGO Commercial!

lego-star-wars

The guys from StarWarsJunk.net found an interesting video on the web, showcasing the new LEGO models from The Force Awakens. Check it out…

Of course this is just a commercial, and we can’t draw much conclusions about the movie’s plot from it, but it’s interesting how everybody is chasing BB-8 and the good guys are trying to rescue him. Obviously he is carrying something important… 😉

            I… need help…. me…

Not the guy who was overwhelmed by sadness that commercials (GODDANG COMMERCIALS) were better back in his day?

I need help, you see one person whining about commercials… and the other person pointing out how stupid taht is….

AND YOU THINK THE PERSON WHO POINTS OUT HWO DUMB THAT IS, IS THE PERSON WHO NEEDS HELP!

It’s stupid to have an opinion? It’s “overwhelmed by sadness” to have preference? But it’s fine to a throw a tantrum when someone expresses theirs?

..and enough with the caps. It seems you are the one with issues. The other guy just stated his opinion.

ANH is from the 70s. Did that look too retro for you or do you prefer the Phantom Menace from the 90s? EITHER WAY. It’s all Star Wars. so lets enjoy everything star wars and move on…

Just this Lego commercial alone was 10 times more exciting than the entire 2 hrs of TPM! But I need to point out that i did like Ep 2 & 3. A lot.

Really? I always found II to be the weakest. I think my problem was that in I you may not know who the protagonist is supposed to be, but in II there obviously isn’t one at all. Sure it had more action, but it always felt the least engaging to me because all of the characters are so unrelatable.

Seriously? The main protagonists were anakin skywalker and obi wan. Since the movie starts with them and follows them on their personal adventures, they are obviously the main characters. Why are so many Star Wars fans oblivious to this?

I wish they were following them on their “adventures” instead of listening to anakin whine, piss and moan about how “grumpy” obi-wan is and then frolicking in a field delivering painful line after line of clunky dialogue. EP3 was the only sort of good one for me.

Wow! I really liked that. I’m not even a collector, but that commercial made me feel like a child again. Very reminiscent of the great toy commercials from the 80s and early 90s.

So does bb-8 leave Jakku on the falcon or Poe’s x-wing?

  • August 29, 2015 at 1:53 pm

If BB-8 is holding something important Leia or someone else gave him… Than it’s just like in a new hope with R2-D2… It’s beggining to look a bit like there just copying the story from a new hope.

It’s obvious that on Force friday there will be a lot of story revelation because of the products and commercials like this. So the only logical thought is that next friday we will get an official trailer 🙂 I doubt that they would release so much products showcasing parts of the story/movie without the actual trailer

because if you haven’t noticed these past two years, Star Wars ran out of new ideas and they’re going back to the same “what would we have done in the 1970s?” attitude. (Hence the constant slamming us over the heads with practical effects. )

Please tell me they’re not reusing the fugitive droid idea from A New Hope.

    • August 29, 2015 at 8:00 pm

they are using the fugitive droid storyline from ANH, the rebels all fly their x wings in formation at act III like ANH, simple boring costumes from ANH, Ralph McQuarrie designs from ANH, bad guy holding a lightsaber tracking down the fugitive droid from ANH, ….. do you get the idea here?

No, The Kylo Ren is the name of his space ship. Darth Maul is apparently the new villain of episode vii, at least, a GameStop employee insisted to me that he was.

Who else feels like that robotic hand in the second teaser is actually finns hand in the end he might of got it cut off at the end of the film cuz if you look closely at lukes leaked photo he wears a robe while the person in the trailer has a hooded cape. Maybe the narration is to throw us off.

And also what if kylo kills han accidentally because han hugs him and he has his saber off but notices that storm troopers are coming and ignites his lightsaber forgetting its also cross so one of thelittle saber stabs han and he dies

“It’s interesting how everybody is chasing BB-8 and the good guys are trying to rescue him. Obviously he is carrying something important…”

That’s the story of R2-D2 in A New Hope. For the love of Christ, J. J. Abrams, don’t just have this one be a remake.

I’m sure I read a comment in the cantina ages ago about someone who worked on the Pinewood set being disillusioned by TFA because it had all the same beats as ANH. I ignored it at the time but maybe there is an element of truth in it.

If anyone knows the one I’m talking about feel free to link it.

BB8 is carrying Luke’s light sabre from TESB, that’s why they are after him.

Oh, so he’s not carrying the Death Star plans? What a relief.

Next, he’s going to get snagged by a junk dealer, rescued by Rey, reveal his crucial mission, meet up with Han and Chewie and depart the desolate desert planet aboard the Millennium Falcon…

That whole first act pisses me off by how unoriginal is sounds. I hope the rest of the movie is fresher than that.

Kylo Ren sound clunkier to the ears than it does on paper. So glad JJ is done with Star Wars after this.
