I didn’t even watch the clips, I don’t want to be spoiled at all with this next episode, after the best episode yet last week this one should be great!
So…are Kanan and Hera a couple? Are there mixed race couples in Star Wars? If it were JJ’s Star Trek Kirk would be all over a Hera type. Not really weird in my book cause Hera looks so human anyway.
If Hera could just let him go then I don’t think they’re lovers. I agree with Ezra, seriously fucked up Hera. I think she’ll have a change of heart though…
Those children, while apparently human/Twi’lekk hybrids, are not the children of the clone deserter Cut. They are too old, Cut couldn’t have deserted before Geonosis (and recounts being there IIRC), and that was only 3 years before RotS, and the kids are both older than 3 (unless Twi’Lekks just age really fast)
In the novel A New Dawn it’s basically implied that they have strong feelings for one another, but Hera won’t let that get in the way of her cause and Kanan respects that (and is also obviously dragged into the Rebel cause). So I think they’re basically holding back until this whole empire malarkey blows over. Not really sure if they knew how long that would take…
There’s 2 things that bothered me with Rebels. 1: In the episode “Droids in Distress” There was a very tall Imperial droid standing on Lothal with other robots, but this one looked like the evil war robot from the Disney movie “The Black Hole.” Did anyone else catch this? I don’t like cross-overs from other movies or shows. Let’s keep all other sci-fi universes separate! 2: Why was Vader’s music played during Tarkin’s scenes, and why was Tarkin having imperial officers killed for their failures? Only Vader is this ruthless. Tarkin is passive. Ex: ANH: Tarkin: ” This bickering is pointless. Vader! Release him! ESB: Vader: ” You have failed me for the last time, Admiral Ozzel. (choking, then Ozzel dies). Other than that, I love the show.
That was bickering among higher up imperials as opposed to handing out punishment to minions for failing. I would say threatening an entire planet to get Leia to reveal the location of the rebel base and then blowing up the planet anyway after she appears to reveal it is quite ruthless and far from passive.
And if you are talking about the same droid I am thinking you are, I thought someone mentioned it actually was based off of the original concept art for C-3PO.
I believe that Tarkin is determined in finding the Rebels hideouts and destroying them, since they are the enemy. So that type of ruthlessness, I get. Vader will not tolerate any failure in order for his plans to succeed, whether it be Rebels or Imperials. This type of ruthless behavior is much worse than Tarkin’s. Tarkin wants to wipeout all Rebellion in the galaxy in order for the Imperial tyranny to flourish. Vader is blinded by his desire to find Luke, in order to turn him to the Darkside or destroy him. No one is stand in his way, albeit the Rebels or Imperials.

In the episode “The Deserter”, a rogue Clone Trooper is seen married to a Twi’lek. They even have children.

Tarkin is Passive?
He destroyed Alderan. Destroyed a whole planet with probably millions of people (even after Leia gave him an answer)
For any UK fans getting bored of the endless repeats of episodes 1-7, series finally resumes this saturday afternoon (21st) with Path of the Jedi.
