Christina Chong Wraps her Star Wars: Episode 7 Filming!

Christina Chong

Christina Chong is still not officially announced as an Episode VII cast member. Now the agency that represents her confirmed that she is indeed part of the movie, and she already wrapped her scenes…

The news about Chong’s involvement with Episode VII was first broke by Latino Review and later confirmed by Variety back in July (HERE).

Now the Piers Nimmo Managment agency that represents the star posted a confirmation on Twitter, that she is indeed part of the movie. (via JediNews)

As you might remember Christina Chong is a parkour artist as Pip Andersen. So we’re probably looking at another athletic Star Wars character. Here’s her parkour demo reel:

I wonder how big her part is.
I also wonder whether or not you actually see her face or if she wears a mask in film.
In my (a nobody’s) mind, the use of parkour artists as bits parts suggests that we are gonna see multiple lightsaber users some of which are only just in the background.
Either the Sith or the Jedi have a stronger presence in the new republic than we thought, question is; is luke their boss or is there a Non-Luke-centric jedi order?

    • October 21, 2014 at 3:21 pm

      She’s in Halo: Nightfall.

  • October 20, 2014 at 6:34 pm

Humour (well maybe not to some of you). As I recall there were very little railings in Star Wars (major health and safety issue), and I guess there were perfectly good stairwells in the majority of those bullding Ms Chong could have utilised instead of risking life and limb. Acrobatic Jedi ‘keeping it real’ with less CGI?? Impressive (que aqualung sound effect).

  • October 20, 2014 at 6:49 pm

She looks a little like Daisy Ridley. Could she be her stuntwoman?

    • October 20, 2014 at 7:04 pm

She may just be a glorified stunt person…same with Pip (perhaps). Why everyone is assuming that EVERY name that is associated in the casting is a bonafide character integral to the plot is beyond me.

      • October 20, 2014 at 7:15 pm

        Oh STFU. -_-

        • October 20, 2014 at 8:38 pm

That’s right Duke, coz u know EVERYTHING that’s going on in the process of making this movie. You are tiresome lol. I’m almost surprised that the admin hasn’t calmed u down a bit just yet. Slow ur role or something.

          • October 20, 2014 at 9:37 pm

I’m sorry if i offended you with logic, if it bothers you that much, don’t read it.

          • October 20, 2014 at 10:52 pm

I think she is Daisy’s double too

          • October 21, 2014 at 2:45 am

and if she is, Duke, I want you to walk around in a clown outfit singing the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine while jugging live hedgehogs. Want to take my challenge?

          • October 21, 2014 at 12:42 pm

Daisy already has a stunt double and her name is Chloe Bruce.

          • October 21, 2014 at 12:21 am

Offended? No. Annoyed at a wannabe know-it-all (that DOESNT even work with the production of this movie) trying to tell everyone whats “fact” and what’s not? YES!

‘Logic’-ahahahahaha, you mean: Assumption jackhole. Get over urself Sparky 😉

          • October 21, 2014 at 12:31 am

Heres a little table scrap for you troll. Why would they hire a tv show actress with little to no stunt experience to double for someone else ? They wouldn’t, “logic”. You do seen a little “off”. Maybe some issues you need to work on.

          • October 21, 2014 at 1:46 am

You just proved the point- that all you’re doing is ASSUMING….based on your own sense of what’s logical…smh. If you could just allow yourself to get past your own fanatical fanboyism for a nanosecond, you’d A) See the inherent flaw of your approach to the convo, and B) See that it doesn’t automatically matter that she is a known tv actress. Money is money…and Disney has plenty 😉

She may end up having a face-role or she may not, but someone else’s argument has just as much merit as yours does- and maybe even more.

And you’re one to call someone a troll lol. The first to post on any and every item on the site and post incessantly more than anyone else. And then have the nerve to try to shoot down an opposing opinion because you apparently have a better insight than everyone else haha. Loser traits 🙁

  • October 20, 2014 at 6:59 pm

Remember Christina Chong is not just a stuntwoman, she’s an actress. She was on a Dr. Who episode.

    • November 21, 2014 at 12:43 pm

Chong’s parkour showreel looks a bit pedestrian to me! Hell, i move quicker on the way to work of a morning!!…….. “Great, kid. Don’t get cocky”

  • October 20, 2014 at 7:05 pm

I think she maybe play the motion capture for action sequences & lightsaber battles of the Grave Robber aka Princess Leia goes Darkside!

  • October 20, 2014 at 7:10 pm

I’m not a big fan of “parkour”, but that looked pretty bad as far as parkour goes.

    • October 20, 2014 at 7:23 pm

Bad as in good or bad as in bad?

        • October 20, 2014 at 10:53 pm

          More ..Peter Parkour than Spideyman

  • October 20, 2014 at 7:17 pm

Is it just me or does anyone else think think that her so called Parkour reel is a bit lame?

      • October 21, 2014 at 9:34 am

        Duke please stop

    • October 20, 2014 at 7:27 pm

      Totally agree

    • October 21, 2014 at 1:02 am

  • October 20, 2014 at 7:24 pm

What she calls “parkour” looks an awful lot like what my friends and I did on the playground in 6th grade…

    • October 20, 2014 at 8:40 pm

      in her defence
there seems to be a lot of “i could do that” going on ….. point is we dont , she does , shes in a star wars film , we aint.
anyone can play an instrument or paint a picture or run or or act, doesnt mean youll ever be good enough to get paid doing it.

      • October 20, 2014 at 11:49 pm

I don’t think you’re understanding me correctly; my friends and I used to do the things she does in this video on an almost daily basis in middle school…
        Lamest “parkour” I’ve ever seen.

  • October 20, 2014 at 7:48 pm

that vid was ….. er ……. not great .
shame , she can do a lot better but this didnt showcase anything really , in fact most of it just seemed to be her standing still or running in a straight line.
the ducking and weaving through those bars was fairly cool , but nothing special.

  • October 20, 2014 at 8:03 pm

As much as I’m all for equality in the world let’s be realistic, women can’t perform physical tasks the way males can. If that makes me sexist so be it lol facts are facts.

The video was a bit on the lame side, but you can tell she’s talented.

Oh and pretty damn cute too.

    • October 20, 2014 at 8:07 pm

Wait a second, women “can” do parkour as well as men , this is just not a good display of it.

      • October 20, 2014 at 8:11 pm

This isn’t even an argument lol there are facts and opinions. Just gotta be smart enough to know which one yours is.

        • October 20, 2014 at 8:23 pm

Well let’s get this straight. I’m no “bringer of political correctness or justice” , but parkour is just running, jumping, climbing and balance. If you ever watch the olympics you can see that women can be really good that those things. So when it comes to parkour, women and men are on on equal ground.

          • October 20, 2014 at 8:34 pm

You’re 100% correct. But never said or ever will say women can’t do physical things well. But as far as being equal to men? Let’s do the NBA all stars vs the WNBA all stars. Not tryna be a smart ass it just is what it is..

  • October 20, 2014 at 8:16 pm

Pip Anderson impressed me more and so I would rather he more of him in this movie.

      • October 21, 2014 at 9:35 am

Duke stop commenting you’re frustrating people

          • October 21, 2014 at 1:31 pm

I think Duke is right. I had a look at her Wiki page and it said that she took up acting after injuring herself.

  • October 20, 2014 at 8:48 pm

I don’t care if she can fly. Assuming she’s not a stunt double, I hope that she can act.

  • October 20, 2014 at 8:52 pm

    Wait, what video?
The photo has definetively two strong points wrapped up nicely

  • October 20, 2014 at 9:27 pm

Ive never heard someone referred to as a parkour “Artist”, but I must say those breasts are a true work of art…

    • October 20, 2014 at 9:43 pm

Parkour is a preforming art not a sport.

      • October 21, 2014 at 1:13 am

You kidding me? A performance art? Then my farts count as music.

        • October 22, 2014 at 11:44 am

          What renditions have you preformed?
Are they recorded and available on iTunes?

  • October 20, 2014 at 10:05 pm

The way she splashed her foot in the puddle was really impressive.

  • October 20, 2014 at 10:06 pm

Keep in mind she played a soldier in Dr. who and she going to play a soldier in Halo Nightfall

  • October 20, 2014 at 11:04 pm

The video definitely got some acrobatics going in my pants…. she is…hot.

  • October 21, 2014 at 12:14 am

Oh I think she’s hot to lol geezzz the way you lot respond to one another on here, my children are more mature and practical… Just saying!
    Toddy New Zealand

  • October 21, 2014 at 12:58 am

Good for her. But was there any parkour here? The only thing close to it was the “Jackie Chan” through the handrail pass. She must have a good agent or some connections. Just not something I see as impressive. Like I said, good for her though. Enjoy the comicon fame!

  • October 21, 2014 at 2:47 am

I wish Viral Hide woud write an article about D-Day, and the possibility that there may be some news released October 30. That day is coming quickly. I wish Disney will announce Episode VII’s title that day… but they probably won’t becuase they only like to please Marvel fan these days.

    • October 21, 2014 at 5:24 am

No crying in the blue milk.

  • October 21, 2014 at 7:15 am

She an actor in the movie, maybe she isn’t the best parkour person, but star wars isn’t a demo reel, star wars is big movie that really is not about whether or not she can jump. Parkour is cool, but your not really gonna see it in much detail in the finished film.
Calling her a parkour “artist” is a mislabeling.
A more appropriate label for miss chong is “actress who is physically fit”.

And what’s with all the hot – not-sexy talk? Did you guys completely forget what website your on?

  • October 21, 2014 at 10:22 am

Pants video, I could do that and I’m twice her age!

  • October 21, 2014 at 1:43 pm

    Ashoka tano ????

  • October 21, 2014 at 3:18 pm

Wow she going to be great in the film, look how she scares those two trains away at the end of the demo reel 🙂

  • October 21, 2014 at 5:53 pm

Her gymnastic ability and skills certainly impressed me. All in all, she’s an impressive lady. Looks like we might have some very exciting individual combat scenes in EpVII.

  • October 26, 2014 at 12:20 pm

Oh. It’s Tim Snow making the comment. Whatever.
