Christina Chong Wraps her Star Wars: Episode 7 Filming!

Christina Chong

Christina Chong is still not officially announced as an Episode VII cast member. Now the agency that represents her confirmed that she is indeed part of the movie, and she already wrapped her scenes…

The news about Chong’s involvement with Episode VII was first broke by Latino Review and later confirmed by Variety back in July (HERE).

Now the Piers Nimmo Managment agency that represents the star posted a confirmation on Twitter, that she is indeed part of the movie. (via JediNews)

As you might remember Christina Chong is a parkour artist as Pip Andersen. So we’re probably looking at another athletic Star Wars character. Here’s her parkour demo reel:

I wonder how big her part is.
I also wonder whether or not you actually see her face or if she wears a mask in film.
In my (a nobody’s) mind, the use of parkour artists as bits parts suggests that we are gonna see multiple lightsaber users some of which are only just in the background.
Either the Sith or the Jedi have a stronger presence in the new republic than we thought, question is; is luke their boss or is there a Non-Luke-centric jedi order?

Humour (well maybe not to some of you). As I recall there were very little railings in Star Wars (major health and safety issue), and I guess there were perfectly good stairwells in the majority of those bullding Ms Chong could have utilised instead of risking life and limb. Acrobatic Jedi ‘keeping it real’ with less CGI?? Impressive (que aqualung sound effect).

She looks a little like Daisy Ridley. Could she be her stuntwoman?

      @Tirindo

She may just be a glorified stunt person…same with Pip (perhaps). Why everyone is assuming that EVERY name that is associated in the casting is a bonafide character integral to the plot is beyond me.

Heres a little table scrap for you troll. Why would they hire a tv show actress with little to no stunt experience to double for someone else ? They wouldn’t, “logic”. You do seen a little “off”. Maybe some issues you need to work on.

You just proved the point- that all you’re doing is ASSUMING….based on your own sense of what’s logical…smh. If you could just allow yourself to get past your own fanatical fanboyism for a nanosecond, you’d A) See the inherent flaw of your approach to the convo, and B) See that it doesn’t automatically matter that she is a known tv actress. Money is money…and Disney has plenty 😉

She may end up having a face-role or she may not, but someone else’s argument has just as much merit as yours does- and maybe even more.

And you’re one to call someone a troll lol. The first to post on any and every item on the site and post incessantly more than anyone else. And then have the nerve to try to shoot down an opposing opinion because you apparently have a better insight than everyone else haha. Loser traits 🙁

there seems to be a lot of “i could do that” going on ….. point is we dont , she does , shes in a star wars film , we aint.
anyone can play an instrument or paint a picture or run or or act, doesnt mean youll ever be good enough to get paid doing it.

I don’t think you’re understanding me correctly; my friends and I used to do the things she does in this video on an almost daily basis in middle school…

that vid was ….. er ……. not great .
shame , she can do a lot better but this didnt showcase anything really , in fact most of it just seemed to be her standing still or running in a straight line.
the ducking and weaving through those bars was fairly cool , but nothing special.

As much as I’m all for equality in the world let’s be realistic, women can’t perform physical tasks the way males can. If that makes me sexist so be it lol facts are facts.

The video was a bit on the lame side, but you can tell she’s talented.

Oh and pretty damn cute too.

Well let’s get this straight. I’m no “bringer of political correctness or justice” , but parkour is just running, jumping, climbing and balance. If you ever watch the olympics you can see that women can be really good that those things. So when it comes to parkour, women and men are on on equal ground.

You’re 100% correct. But never said or ever will say women can’t do physical things well. But as far as being equal to men? Let’s do the NBA all stars vs the WNBA all stars. Not tryna be a smart ass it just is what it is..

She an actor in the movie, maybe she isn’t the best parkour person, but star wars isn’t a demo reel, star wars is big movie that really is not about whether or not she can jump. Parkour is cool, but your not really gonna see it in much detail in the finished film.
Calling her a parkour “artist” is a mislabeling.
A more appropriate label for miss chong is “actress who is physically fit”.
