Hot Toys Debut Marrok and Tease New Ahsoka Figure

The undead Inquisitor comes to life in a brand new 1:6 scale figure as Hot Toys debuts the latest figure in their Ahsoka line, Marrok, and teases an all new version of Ahsoka herself.

The subject of much speculation during the early episodes of Ahsoka, Marrok was a former Inquisitor seemingly brought back to life by the Nightsister Morgan Elsbeth to aid her in bringing Grand Admiral Thrawn back from his exile on Peridea. Though his role in the series was short lived, Morgan’s undead mercenary can now be part of your collection in the form of this stunning figure from Hot Toys.

Debuting the new collectible on Facebook, Hot Toys wrote:

Once an Inquisitor hunting Jedi for the Empire, the mysterious Marrok now works as a mercenary hired by Morgan Elsbeth to carry out dark deeds. Fully encased in battered battle armor, the warrior still carries a red double-bladed saber with a circular hilt.

Expanding the vast collectibles inspired by the Ahsoka live-action series, Hot Toys is pleased to present the 1/6th scale Marrok™ collectible figure!

The highly-accurate collectible figure features beautifully crafted armor with stunning weathering effects, skillfully tailored undersuit and cape, LED light-up double-bladed lightsaber, interchangeable lightsaber blades emulating the weapon in motion, and a display base!

This mysterious inquisitor will surely have an unique presence in your Star Wars™ collection!

I’ll be honest, I was not expecting Marrok in this line. After Hot Toys revealed Thrawn at the end of last month I assumed that the next figure would be either Ezra or Ahsoka in her new costume so seeing Marrok today really shows just how deep Hot Toys is going with this line and makes me very optimistic that Baylan and Shin will be coming in the future.

As is standard for lightsaber wielding characters, Marrok comes with a USB powered light up hilt and both static and motion blades. Though he lacks a traditional head sculpt, Marrok’s helmet is captured in incredible detail and the whole figure boasts stunning weathering to capture the rusted look of the character’s armor.

And Marrok isn’t the only figure in the preview images released today. Whilst most images of Marrok dueling Ahsoka feature Hot Toys’ The Mandalorian version of the character in her gray costume from the opening of the series, one features a blurred first look at a brand new Ahsoka figure in her new white outfit which she wore after completing her training with Anakin in episode five, Shadow Warrior. Whilst this doesn’t mean that Ahsoka will be the next figure revealed, it’s a very safe bet to say she’ll be joining the line soon. As someone who just received, and loves, The Mandalorian Ahsoka figure, I’m excited to see the improvements Hot Toys can bring to her and her new look given that their work on the Ahsoka line so far is some of the best we have seen from them.

Marrok will be up for pre-order later today at Sideshow Collectibles and other retailers, and is due for release Q4 2024/Q1 2025.
