Charles Soule Promoted to Creative Consultant at Lucasfilm
Charles Soule, a writer for multiple Star Wars Marvel Comics and one of the key architects of The High Republic era of storytelling, has been promoted as a Creative Consultant at Lucasfilm.
Soule confirmed the promotion when it was pointed out to him by an observant fan. You really can’t get anything passed Star Wars fans. See his confirmation below.

Perhaps the timing on this move is not so coincidental, given that The Acolyte was announced to be set near the end of the High Republic era when it was revealed back in 2020, and rumors have pegged a still-unannounced series as being set at some point in the era, indicating an interest by Lucasfilm in exploring these stories in the realm of live-action and possibly even animation. For shows like these, Charles Soule’s familiarity and expertise with the setting would be invaluable for writers and directors set to bring those stories to Disney Plus.
Charles Soule’s body of work for Star Wars includes work on the comic books Lando, Obi-Wan and Anakin, Poe Dameron, Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith, The Rise of Kylo Ren, Empire Ascendant, Star Wars Volume 2, War of the Bounty Hunters, Crimson Reign, and the forthcoming The Hidden Empire, along with tie-in comics for all three events. Soule was also the author of the novel The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, which kickstarted the entirety of the High Republic line back in 2021.
