‘Star Wars: The High Republic’ Gets Its First Limited-Edition Legacy Lightsaber Hilt
Star Wars: The High Republic will soon receive its first-ever FX lightsaber. On Sunday, it was announced that fans can look forward to a new Legacy Lightsaber hilt inspired by Stellan Gios’ lightsaber design from The High Republic books and comics. It will be available at shopDisney and Disney resorts later this Fall.
The announcement was made this Sunday at New York Comic Con where Lucasfilm Publishing held a panel showcasing some new projects they are working on. One of the most exciting announcements was when the panelists unveiled a new lightsaber in the design of Stellan Gios’ lightsaber. X/Twitter user @FriendsofForce was able to get a photo of the lightsaber from the panel. Later, a better look at the prototype was shown on StarWars.com. Check out both photos below:

Lucasfilm also provided more official detail on the lightsaber:
We’re thrilled to unveil for the first time ever, straight from Star Wars: The High Republic, the Stellan Gios Legacy Lightsaber Hilt! An elegant weapon, for a civilized age. This limited-edition set includes Stellan’s iconic crossguard lightsaber hilt featuring the unique designs seen during the time of The High Republic and comes in a collectible wooden box. When a Legacy Lightsaber Blade is attached to the hilt, the blades will illuminate with Master Gios signature blue color (crossguard blades included, Legacy Lightsaber Blade sold separately). This limited-edition box set is limited to 5,000 pieces globally and will launch this fall on shopDisney.com and Disney Parks. Stay tuned for more information coming soon!
