‘Star Tours’ Set to Visit New Worlds in 2024

One of the more important under-the-radar headlines of Star Wars Celebration Europe is direct confirmation that Star Tours will be taking park visitors to new locations next year!

According to Disney Parks, Lucasfilm have officially put plans to visit new worlds into the beloved attraction on a course for lightspeed, with new locations set to be added to the motion theater attraction. The news was revealed by Portfolio Creative Executive Scott Trowbridge at the “Disney Parks: Where Star Wars Comes to Life” panel at Celebration Europe, which naturally was focused on Star Wars rides and attractions.

Additional Star Tours flight locations were previously teased at the most recent Star Wars Celebration Anaheim convention last year in a live interview, and now it appears that the team behind the parks may have been working on the attraction behind the scenes since then. So far, Star Tours travelers can visit Tatooine, Hoth, Coruscant, Naboo, Geonosis, Kashyyyk, Jakku, Crait, Kef Bir, and Exegol, with the ride going through a series of set paths, one set dedicated to the six original trilogy and prequel trilogy planets, and another set to the four sequel trilogy planets.

The new adventures will be arriving in 2024 at three theme parks: Disneyland, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disneyland Paris. (Sadly, there was no word on when these updates might arrive to Tokyo Disneyland, the one other location that the attraction calls home.) As of right now, the Imagineers are keeping their lips sealed about what places we might get to visit in 2024 and beyond, although Trowbridge mentioned that we will go to “places that haven’t been seen yet”. It can’t be said if this rules out locations from existing Star Wars projects, but expect to see worlds that will be introduced in the forthcoming slate of movies and shows.

New Star Tours: The Adventures Continue experiences will be available starting in 2024 for the Disneyland, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disneyland Paris parks.
