Marvel ‘Star Wars’ April 2023 Comic Preview: Luke and Vader Lose the Force, Qi’ra’s Final Act, Inferno Squad, Ewoks, and More

Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader lose some of their connection to the Force, the Qi’ra saga comes to an end, and Inferno Squad arrives this April in Star Wars Marvel comics. StarWars.com has a new look at all the releases following an already tantalizing March.

 

Outside of those headlines, April also sees the beginning of the recently announced Darth Vader: Black, White & Red anthology series. A new wave of High Republic novels hits shelves, but Marvel will continue the fallout of the Battle of Jedha too. The next chapter in the Return of the Jedi 40th anniversary series is here as well, greeting us with everyone’s favorite furry fuzzballs. All that and more, which means it’s time to dig in…

Vader has a busy month between possibly challenging the Emperor in Hidden Empire, losing the Force, and the debut of a new series, which you can read about here. Besides that, he also appears to come back into the life of Doctor Aphra. The rogue archaeologist hasn’t been the same since coming into contact with the Spark Eternal. Doctor Aphra #30 was initially slated for March, but was pushed back to April 12. The next issue is currently set for April as well, but could easily be delayed until May.
