New ‘Andor’ Spot Features New Shots From the Ongoing Arc

A new, 45-second spot from the Disney Plus series Andor includes new footage from the three-episode arc that started with last week’s episode 8, including new lines and shots from the scenes inside the prison Cassian is locked up in.

Some action-heavy shots from the trailer might even be from the escape sequence that is inevitably coming in the next two episodes. Most of the spot, though, is focused on the first eight episodes and includes highlights from some of the best-received episodes so far, including the escape in episode 3, the Eye of Aldhani in episode 6, and Andy Serkis’ introduction in episode 8.

With episode 8, Andor kicked off its third three-episode arc after the break from that structure represented by episode 7. Finally, episodes 11 and 12 will wrap up the season on Nov 16-23 with the final two-episode arc. The series, created by Tony Gilroy and led by Diego Luna, is enjoying high critical praise, with almost 500 critics upping it to a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, being Certified Fresh most recently as a direct result.

The ninth episode of Andor will start streaming next Wednesday, so stay tuned for our review as always. You can check out Miguel’s review of episode 8 here, and The Resistance Broadcast’s discussion on TRB Live! from this week here.

Miguel Fernández is a Spanish student that has movies as his second passion in life. His favorite movie of all time is The Lord of the Rings, but he is also a huge Star Wars fan. However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as movies from Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
