Exclusive: Kylo Ren and General Hux Are Up to No Good in Preview of ‘Hyperspace Stories’ #8
Hyperspace Stories issue #8 is arriving at local comic book stores and digital store shelves on August 30, and Star Wars News Net has an exclusive preview ahead of its release. Issue #8 returns to the sequel era with a focus on Kylo Ren and the First Order.
Hyperspace Stories is an anthology series published by Dark Horse with each issue spotlighting a different character across the franchise. Past issues have featured big names such as Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett. But smaller fan-favorites haven’t been left out, like Asajj Ventress and Greedo who have their own issues as well. Issue #8 continues the trend of stories centered on villains with Kylo Ren as the main character and the face (or should we say mask) of the issue.
Issue #8 is written by Michael Moreci with art by Andy Duggan. Cover art is done by Andy Duggan. The variant cover is done by Cary Nord.
The story synopsis for Hyperspace Stories #8 is provided below:
As the First Order grows in power, Supreme Leader Snoke dispatches Kylo Ren and General Hux to the planet Karaxis to enforce his will upon the populace. As Ren hunts a fugitive through the wilds, Hux works to find a new, cruelly inventive way of enforcing compliance. But how far can the Karaxians be pushed, before they have nothing left to lose?
In the preview pages provided below, Kylo Ren and General Hux come face-to-face with Supreme Leader Snoke who orders them to bring the planet of Karaxis under complete subjugation. The writing and the art showcase the intimidating stature and fearless command of Supreme Leader Snoke.
As the story progresses, Kylo Ren takes a more violent and direct action against those who won’t submit. But General Hux has a different approach as readers get a look at the monster Kylo Ren will likely be going up against if the cover is anything to go by.
