As we continue to get closer to the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, we have been treated with a fun featurette today on the official Star Wars YouTube channel, showcasing a tour of the Millennium Falcon by Lando Calrissian himself, Donald Glover. This gives us our first real in-depth look at the inside of Lando’s more pristine version of the ship.
Glover takes us through a couple of parts of the Falcon starting with the living quarters. Let’s check out the video and then go over some of the cool parts of the ship he showed us!
We see some familiar aspects such as the Dejarik Board that Chewie and Artoo were playing on in A New Hope, but we also see some new cool stuff as well. How about being able to listen to the latest Max Rebo album while enjoying some frosty beverages with Lando and friends around the wet bar? Certainly sounds like a pretty great night in a galaxy far far away to me. Fans are also introduced to a new part of the ship never seen before, the Captain’s Quarters.
Now the best part of the ship is without a doubt the walk-in cape armory (I mean obviously). There is just about every cape imaginable in there too. Glover mentions an everyday cape, a sister’s wedding cape, intergalactic president’s day cape, and of course the cold temperature cape. Hopefully we get to see Lando in as many of those capes as possible.
Though this should be no big news or surprise, at the end of the clip you’ll see the film’s rating is PG-13, which has been the case for every Star Wars film since 2005, but we just figured we’d mention it! Solo: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters May 25th.
