Updated with New Photo! Ron Howard Shares a Photo With Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian from ‘Han Solo’!
Han Solo director Ron Howard continues to tease us from the set of the movie with yet another cool photo, this time showing actor Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian in the Millennium Falcon. Check it out.
Howard posted the image on his Instagram account.
Here’s a closer look:
Glover’s costume matches up with another photo that Howard shared a few days ago, when he asked the fans to whom they think the costumes below belong to:
In a similar fashion yesterday the director teased us with a shot of two Wookiees from the set.
We certainly don’t mind Howard’s way of promoting the movie and we hope he continues sharing behind the scenes photos in the future. After all, this movie will not have the same comfort level or luxury of time as The Force Awakens and Rogue One, so alternative methods of promoting are required, and welcomed!
UPDATE!
Another day and another photo by Howard. I love it:
Hyperspace is real. My first experience. Wow. pic.twitter.com/POilRi5ePX

This time the Han Solo director shows us how they film the hyperspace sequences for the movie. And here’s what’s on the monitor:
It’s beginning to look more and more like Lando will have the Falcon for a good chunk of this movie, which should be expected considering what we know about how Han wound up with the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy!

Lando appears to be saying goodbye to the Falcon. :'(
….or maybe Lando is breaking galactic law and texting while flying !!
I appreciate Howard trying to restore optimism, fun, etc.
Now this is fan service! Thanks Ron Howard showin howz dun!
While I’m still really skeptical of this… man imagine if this is like REALLY good. *fingerscrossed*
Well, looks like we WILL see Han win the Falcon from Lando in the movie, since it looks to still be his here. I hope they stick to the EU version of how the Sabacc game went, with both of them cheating. Lol
I don’t see how you can read that from this image. It might not even be a scene from the movie: it could just be some shuffling around in between takes…

It’s always easier to shit on something than to make something yourself. These guys are losers who wish they could be making movies right now…
Lighten up…
It’s not just this video, and I don’t have a problem with folks making fun of Star Wars. It’s just that these guys are so painfully unfunny. It’s like being at a shitty comedy open mic. I love comedy, and I’ve heard plenty of comedians who can be hilarious making fun of Star Wars, but the Red Letter Media guys are just trolls with digital cameras. Complete hacks.
ok, but they are probably right with this Solo movie and their ideas…I just thought it was hilarious. To each their own.
Fair enough. I don’t agree about the Han Solo film: I’m relatively optimistic still. God help me: I just tend to be optimistic. I even stuck with the Hobbit films until after seeing the second one, despite my better judgment. But I agreed with most of the RLM guys’ points about the PT, and still hated those videos.
the guys impressions of the emperor are to damn funny ….
You forgot the word frauds. It goes “Complete hack frauds”
They do make their own movies….
I bet they suck
Love it…
Heh, hello Mr. Plinkett.
So they stopped getting money from Disney now? Hate their guts
Who Collider or This website?
Um, Plinkett. This site takes money from Disney? 😛 I’d believe it from MSW, but not here.
They are an independent company that isn’t afraid to be critical of the franchise unlike Collider. Why would you think they are the ones taking money from Disney? Collider is basically a talking mouth for Disney, or else they won’t get those cool invites to the premiers where they get ignored like the losers they are.
After trashing the PT, and loving TFA, there was this rumor that RLM got on the good side of Disney, maybe it is just that, a rumor.
If you watched Mr. Plinketts review of TFA there was no love, it was a meh at best for them and they hated Rogue One.
Their hatred of R1 was when I realized… humans are complex and can form very different opinions. Because I agree with in regards to PT… but not at all with R1.
I find their reviews to have good substance. They always nail down the real problems that make bad movies bad and are always able to elaborate upon what makes a good film great.
Their Rogue One review was a little harsh but I did agree with them that the characters were boring. There are many great moments in Rogue One though. The TFA review was a little better then “meh” though.
Another clever thing said on their show is that Star Wars can’t be like the MCU because there is a lot of different feels in the MCU that can be explored where as Star Wars is it’s own thing.
“I think I loved it.” — direct quote of Mike from TFA review.
On the other hand, their Rogue One review was just obnoxious. They were essentially making fun of a space movie for having space ships.
AT-ST AT-ST!

OMG, such a great video. I’ll bet half those ideas are in the movie. “Han awkwardly uses the Jedi’s lightsaber to go after the baby rancor.” lol!
These guys are turds and pretty much totally unlikable. They don’t even know what the red stripe is. I watched it up until that revelation and it was painful even to that point. I do agree that the move has high probability of being lame, however.
I love RLM and Rogue One. I enjoy their sarcastic take on, well, everything. They are not movie critic gods, they’re entertainment. FUCK MOVIES!!!!!!
Lando saying goodbye to the Millennium Falcon after just having lost it to Han?
i have a bad feeling about this. It was my first impression too looking at the picture !
Hopefully, in the new canon, Han wins the Falcon by beating Lando in a Pod Race.
That would be wizard.
This movie is going to be so lame……..sigh. i really dislike hating on a SW movie. but this…..this is going to be bad
Based on absolutely nothing.
You know that for certain?
You saw a leaked screener of the film? Awesome, drop a link!
Because clearly, you’ve seen the movie…..
can Lando’s jacket be the same Luke will get in ANH? Sounds quite strange but what if Lando leaves it on the Falcon, and Han borrows it to Luke for the ceremony?
The main thing I want from this movie is an affordable deck of officially liscenced sabacc cards. Oh and I guess a good movie would be nice too.
So….have there been any canonical, codified rules about how Sabaac is played? If I remember correctly, Sabacc cards are almost like small screens that can change. That would be tough to pull off (unless as a digital game). But, this might have been something I remember from the old EU.
I believe you are correct in that regard, though I am sure that like with earth card games there are probabbly loads of sabacc variants. I know a sabbac deck was released during the old star wars RPG cloud city rulebook and two celebrations ago they had it available at the cantina as an exclusive and I believe that there was rules using dice to simulate the “shifting” of cards. Don’t really care either way but I just wish there was more official canon rules & ways to play “in-universe” games like sabbac and Dejarik. Maybe I’ll get lucky and it will be part of star wars land or some such
Looks pretty cool.
That’s Star Wars baby. Control the humor moments and silly situations and we will have a great movie. Curious about final result.
If they can make this prequel work… Disney is unstoppable. For some reason Ron taking over has given me a weird sense of… this just might work.
He’s a pro – it would be similar to handing it off to Spielberg or someone of that caliber – proven at all levels.
Ron also has a history with both George and Lucasfilm itself. It feels like someone familiar within the production “family”.
Call me crazy, but I have a good feeling about this….
Yeah, I’m game. I hope it’s going to be good. I think it’s going to be good. I wasn’t all that enthusiastic about a Han Solo movie when the project was first announced, but the worst thing that’s going to happen is that I’ll see a cruddy Star Wars movie. That already happened in ’99, ’02, and ’05. I survived. I’ve been pleased with what Lucasfilm has put on the screen after that, so chances are I’ll dig the flick.
