Update: Three More Star Wars ‘Han Solo’ Actors Reportedly Arrive In Fuerteventura For Filming

Filming is about to begin on the highly anticipated Han Solo spin-off film as actors Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, and Woody Harrelson reportedly arrive in Fuerteventura. Read on for more details.

“Scoundrel? Scoundrel?, I Like the sound of that!” – Han Solo

According to our friends over at La Fosa del Rancor and local news media outlet Noticias Fuerteventura, several actors from the upcoming Han Solo Spin-off film have reportedly arrived in Fuerteventura to prepare for filming. The yet untitled Star Wars Han Solo adventure stars Alden Ehrenreich as the swashbuckling smuggler with a supporting cast featuring Daniel Glover as young Lando Calrissian, Woody Harrelson as Beckett and Emilia Clarke in an unknown role.

Translated from Spanish:

“Sunday, at 14:15 hours, the actors arrived on the island (via a flight) from the company Titan Airways, the main actors of the Spin-Off of Han Solo. Both lead actor Alden Ehrenreich, who will play the very rejuvenated Han Solo, as two of the main actors Emilia Clarke, and Woody Harrelson.”

At the moment we have no photos to confirm the arrival of the actors in Fuerteventura. However, we are sure some images will be available shortly.

Yesterday we also reported that a large plane full of Star Wars equipment landed in Fuerteventura, alongside 40 trucks containing Star Wars materials and equipment. Now, Ehrenreich, Harrelson and Clarke have arrived to join actor Warwick Davis as production continues on filming the second standalone film of the new Star Wars spin-off adventures. Speculation has recently run rampant on how the film’s narrative will reflect the earlier years of the young Han Solo.

But Wait, There’s More….

La Fosa del Rancor has a new satellite image of the set. The image shows aerial elements of the set, from a bird’s-eye point of view. It appears that they have built even more structures. Very cool indeed!

We’re hoping for more details, posters, photos and possibly a title drop for the film next month at the D23 expo, but until then, you can keep up-to-date with the entire Han Solo film shoot right here at StarWarsNewsNet.com.

The untitled film will debut worldwide on May 25, 2018.

Set Video Report From the New Han Solo Movie!! | ANTENA3 TV

La Fosa del Rancor has alerted us to a video report from the set of the upcoming Star Wars: Han Solo adventure film. The new image (shown here in HD) which most seen early today, show the beaches of Fuerteventura with a much closer look at the metallic structures and other Mad Max type elements flooding the scenery.

Several new media outlets have attempted to gain access to the shoot but have are turned away almost immediately.  Also, Woody Harrelson and other actors have been sited by locals at one of the hotels in the area. So we have a WOODY confirmation.

Great Stuff!

Here is the news report from the local television station located near the shoot.

    Satellite image?!

Ah, they have been trying to avoid drones, but Lucasfilm may just as well give up, or abandon the use of outdoor sets altogether. Nothing can keep out the prying eyes of dedicated fans these days.

I’ll start giving a crap about Han Solo movie stuff after December. Almost as much revealed about Solo movie as the Last Jedi.

I just hope it’s funny in a genuine way and not unintentionally like TFA was. I liked the small bits of humor in R1 but that was Disney’s attempt at showing they could go darker than ROTS so they couldn’t really get into it.

Considering the talent behind the camera and the fact that Han is a sort of tongue in cheek character, I think this film will be much funnier than the stale meta-humor references we got in the ST so far.
