Updated with the Winners! Rogue One Blu-Ray Home Release Giveaway. Win One of Ten Prizes from SWNN and Hasbro!

It’s that time again. A new Star Wars movie is available for digital download and we’re just a few short days away from having it available on those precious high quality and not quite yet obsolete hard copy formats. Rogue One’s home release is upon us. And we want to celebrate that with a cool giveaway with many prizes for the fans supplied by Hasbro and SWNN. Read on for the details.

It’s a favorite time for many Star Wars fans. A time when we can move on from those infrequent and overcrowded theatrical screenings and start our deep dive into the nooks and crannies of a new Star Wars movie. Maybe you want to replay your favorite scene over and over, tear into a few special features, or overanalyze background character interactions frame by frame. Now that is all possible.

So, to celebrate the release of the first “Star Wars Story” on the various home video platforms, SWNN would like to give away some free stuff as is our wont to do in these sorts of circumstances. Our readers like the free toys and we love giving them to you. So here it is.

The Vader slash and choke scene was by far the best. Not sure how he lost his mojo from then to when fighting Obi-Wan in ANH but since it’s not real it doesn’t have to make perfect sense.

Rogue One, where do I start? Its an amazing Star WARS film that is truly made for the fans. I think only the Star Wars saga has the clout, following and reputation to create a film like Rogue One that is filled with so much backstory and lore and market it to both the old and new generation of fans. The space battles were really specially, indeed its something we have been waiting for since the days of the Original Trilogy

A moment that is small, but absolutely one of my favorites, is when the rebel fleet comes out of hyperspace in front of the Star Destroyers and the camera is just behind the X-Wing cockpit. *goosebumps*

Love the Giveaways, thanks a lot SWNN! Honestly, I’ve got so many favorite moments from Rogue One, but my favorite has got to be the moment when Galen Erso’s hologram comes up in front if Jyn, and the message is delivered, from father to daughter. What an emotional moment with such gravitas, really makes me think about the impact Galen had on the future of the star wars universe in EP IV

My favorite part of Rogue One was the entire ending. Starting with Jyn and Cassian stumbling down to the beach (“Do you think anyone’s listening?” “I do. Someone’s out there.”) to their final embrace, opening their eyes as the light takes them, to Darth Vader’s epic appearance, to Princess Leia’s ending the movie with the word “hope” — it was perfect.

  • March 31, 2017 at 10:01 pm

My favorite moment is Jyn repeating Cassian’s words “Rebellions are built on hope” to the Alliance counsel and the subsequent formation of the Rogue Squad.

I was smiling from ear to ear when I first saw Krennic paying Vader a visit to his castle/fortress/summer home on Mustafar. Definitely my favorite moment of the film for both being an acknowledgement of a massive prequel era event, and also for the implications it could have on future Star Wars stories.

My favorite part of Rogue One? Man…seriously, that’s a very hard question. I guess I would have to say it was Vader going apeshit on the Rebel soldiers at the end of the movie….or the very start of the movie and the beautiful cinematography it all started with.

The final third act of the movie had genuine original trilogy feelings for me…Tarkin at his most sinister, the rebels desperate to win at all costs, the soaring space battles above Scarif and of course Vader scaring the absolute life out of those poor rebel soldiers.
