looks awesome! Always loved these lego reditions of classic movies. Glad to see they are improving on the formula rather than just copy-pasting new skins into their old mechanics.

They were doing just that until recently. Once LEGO City Undercover hit the scene, it seems like TT’s just been on fire with the choices they’re making and the things they’re adding.

Very excited for this one. Another actual Star Wars game with space combat and lots of familiar characters. I wonder if they’re going to throw in some OT content as an easter egg; I’d love to be young Luke taking on Kylo Ren in the forest.

The roots of Star Wars lie in the youth as it’s always been about kids since 1977. Don’t try to make SW out to be something that it never really was meant to be in the 1st place.

That is completely false. The roots of Star Wars lie in the original Star Wars movie, which was not some blatant kids-targeted movie. It was a CHALLENGING movie for kids, which did not have juvenile kids dialog, had fast-moving plot and dialog that forced kids to pay attention in order to keep up, and contained kid-unfriendly moments like Darth Vader choking a rebel to death with his bare hands.

This Lego crap has nothing to do with Star Wars. Why not just have a Peanuts cartoon and dress up all the characters as Star Wars equivalents? Charlie Brown can play Darth Vader, Pigpen can play Obi-Wan, etc. Lay in the same dialog and there’s no difference other than trading one juvenile cartoon for another.

Because I think mixing Lego and Star Wars is stupid? It actually means I have a brain and I’m capable of independent thought. And it means I’m enough of a Star Wars fan to care.

The only thing it means is that you have an opinion, bud. It doesn’t mean you’re more intelligent than others around here. If you did care so much about Star Wars, you would’ve at least acknowledged that brands such as LEGO have helped keep Star Wars alive while bringing in new generations to experience it and join the fandom even before the new wave of movies started emerging.

Dude, I think something is wrong with you. Nobody compared anyone’s intelligence. I’m not a psychiatrist, so you’ll have to go elsewhere for help.

And Lego did not keep Star Wars alive. Lego hopped on the bandwagon after Episode 1 was released. So I guess you just pull stuff out of your ass when you write comments.

I quote, “It actually means I have a brain and I’m capable of independent thought” aka “I stray from what seems to me like popular opinion so I have a brain”, which is a statement that seems to imply that people who don’t think in a similar fashion as you do aren’t capable of independent thought and don’t have a brain like you do. That’s a comparison there. If it wasn’t meant to imply that, you should’ve put more thought into your comment. And I don’t care much for childish attempts at personal insults like that so don’t put too much effort into those. 😛

Read again, pal. LEGO *helped* keep Star Wars alive.
It helped pull in many new fans as well and introduced these newcomers to all Star Wars films, old and new. These are simple facts. If you can’t see that then I’m not sure where that brain you said you had went.

That’s a real stretch dude. I say I have a brain, and you take that to mean that I am comparing intelligence? Come back to Earth my friend.

Lego kept nothing alive. You’re living in the land of Oz.

No one gives a fuck about how much you dislike Lego news. Literally every Lego article has a comment from you about how much you “don’t care”. Everyone knows, so give it a rest.

Looks good, but it will be hard to justify a $50-$60 price tag for a game that covers only one movie. That was Lego Indiana Jones II’s mistake when it only covered Crystal Skull and some other minor additions.

I think I read somewhere that it’s going to have certain stories from the OT as well but I’m not quite sure

I had a feeling they’d cover more than just the movie, and it seems I was right. A trailer just hit featuring a bunch of other adventures with original stories and new dialog from the original cast.

I’m super impressed at how real the Lego works. But it would be so much better of the limbs of the mini figures wouldn’t flex. It would add to the realism of the Lego pieces

I feel like I’m more hyped for this now than how battlefront turned out. There’s so many fun elements here and I loved playing through all the other Lego games. It’s crazy how advanced they’re getting with a cover system and flying sections that aren’t top down.

It says all new dialogue from the cast and then immediately cuts to Han, but surely Harrison Ford didn’t voice this? He’s never done a tie in game before.
