Star Wars: The Force Awakens IMAX Featurette!

Episode VII IMAXIn the latest Star Wars promo video, J.J. Abrams and the cast of The Force Awakens discuss what it was like shooting with IMAX cameras, and what to expect from the one sequence they shot.

You can see comments by J.J. Abrams, Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver and Gwendoline Christie with some behind-the-scenes footage that was released before. Nevertheless it’s a very cool video.

that’ll mean that frame rate between scenes will change just as for nolan films?

Frame rate? Don’t you mean aspect ratio?

Nope, frame rate. IMAX is 24 frames per second, so unless they run some special master of the film that looks good in 24 FPS, the frame rate will be changing between scenes.
