Carrie Fisher on Good Morning America: The Force Awakens is Really Good!

FisherFirst George and Now Carrie. Carrie Fisher and her dog Gary were guests yesterday on Good Morning America. Our favorite princess (now General) revealed that recently she has seen The Force Awakens, and said the movie is “really good”. As Carrie said, “she is thinking with her mouth and she is never lying”, so if she says so, then the movie will be indeed good. Is anyone even doubting that anymore?

From Good Morning America (YouTube):

What can I say. Another hilarious interview by Carrie. We are really lucky and proud to have Mark, Carrie and Harrison on the same team – 3 very distinctive and unique actors that we love so much.

She put the host through her paces, ha, ha. The audience loved it. XD

    – I never have someone falling asleep during my interview, Gary.
    – That you know of!

I love this woman so much. You have to be really strong to go through everything she did and does and remain positive. Forever my princess. A-hem, general. 🙂

The original Austin Powers was on the other day which was made about 20 years ago to this day and she really looked pretty good in that, Harrison would have been doing Air Force One about the same time as well. So it’s a shame that Lucas wasted his time making the PT when they were off doing those than this new one. It may not have been as good as this film is if he had but maybe not either considering the OT cast seems more assertive towards him than the PT one was.

That wouldn’t have worked, because Daisy Ridley would have been like 3 years old.

Everyone would have teased her about that staff, too: “Why is Rey carrying around that totem pole?”

if they did it 18-20 years ago we could have had the original cast do heir to the empire or something there in.

If they did EP VII 20 years, I would hope they would have taken the same approach to story development that Kennedy, Abrams, and Kasdan took with TFA, writing a new movie.

(I enjoyed Timothy Zahn’s stuff, As books they’re fine. But I have no desire to see them on film.)

not saying it would have had to be exact same thing, just do a similar(ish) story 5 to 10 years after jedi, not 30… and if thrawn happens to be in it, i wouldn’t have complained. 😉

River Phoenix would have made an awesome young Han in the spinoff but he died in 1994 or so. Had they made it earlier he would have been the perfect fit.

They could do it with holograms like they keep doing with Tupac. Lol. Especially since it would make semse with Star Wars.

wow. Carrie unequivocally knew that she was a better human being than everyone hosting that show and gosh darn it, she was right. I would love to see the unedited version- that was more chopped up than Jurassic Park 3.
