Two New Star Wars: The Force Awakens LEGO Sets Revealed!

Resistance Rescue 2

If you remember back to October, then you might be familiar with this formerly-leaked image of a new Resistance ship (featuring General Leia and Admiral Ackbar). Now, thanks to the efforts of the people at HothBricks, both it and the “Battle Of Takodana” sets for the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens line have been officially revealed.

Here’s the box cover image for the aforementioned “Resistance Troop Transporter” set:

And here’s the “Battle Of Takodana” set:

Aside from the inclusion of the Maz Kanata figure (showing the character again before she’s even been seen in an advertisement), it looks like Kylo Ren’s mask is removable. One has to wonder if he takes it off this early into the film.

In any case, the two sets will arrive in early 2016, along with two more TFA-related sets. It’s likely that these last two sets could be spoiler-heavy, so don’t expect much news on them until after the movie is released.

Looks like a B-Wing but it’s not a starfighter if it transports troops.

      It’s a transporter.

That’s one ugly ship… I can forgive it though as most transports are. Looks like the same shipyard responsible for the B-wing will be making this thing. Which if they do that… is a nice touch.

by shipyard you mean that old grumpy Mon Calamari from SW Rebels? haha

He created it but he also went with the Rebels to start mass producing them. So I’m sure where he ended up… or where his plans did makes them now.

“General Leia,” not “General Organa” or “General Solo”? That does look like that’s what’s on the box. Odd.

It’s for kids. General Leia makes sense for a set targeted at elementary school aged kids as she would be known as Leia more than General Organa. It could also be that she’s actually called General Leia by close friends or Han or something in the movie and Lego used that instead.

I have been seeing a lot of people saying this finally confirms Luke is not Kylo Ren. Not the 1000 other things that disapprove it not to mention the official picture of him unmasked. Nope a lego set is what convinced people. Nothing the internet loves more than a crazy fan theory.

Seriously dude. I have had to link SO MANY YouTube commenters to this picture because they can’t get it through their thick heads that Luke and Kylo are two different people. It can be tiring, lol.

I tried to be a good fan and let people know that Driver was officially credited as Kylo Ren but for some reason people thought I was messing with them. It was literally exhausting and to make it even more frustrating a lego set is what made the light go off in their head.

His body isn’t even remotely like Hamill’s even if you account the fact that he’s like 6 inches taller than him.

Me too, because as a troop transporter requiring that much landing space it doesn’t make a lot of practical sense to me. Sorry, I don’t like this new design at all.

of cpurse kylo ren’s mask is removable, haven’t you noticed that in one of the last trailers when he approaches finn you can see his hair from behind? I thought everyone noticed that…

I think the point being made here is that once you remove Kylo’s helmet, you actually see his face. His shuttle set includes him, but the head underneath is a black head but with a printing of the helmet detail so that you could attach a hood over the head; previous mini figure didn’t show his face.
