Mostly not funny at all, but there may be a hidden spoiler in “the force is controlled through the eyes”.

i know its a bit of a sacred cow like , but , SNL deffo loses something in its journey across the Atlantic …. never understood why or how its supposed to be funny .

It used to be funny back in the 90s and up until about the mid 2000’s. Every once in a while, you get some good sketches (The Chris PRatt episode was actually the best episode in recent history). However, there are mostly duds (The worst episode in recent years is definitely the last Chris Rock episode.. it was a train wreck).

What keeps it going are the celebrity hosts. 99/100 times the musical guests suck (unless you like really weird/obscure stuff, or straight up top pop music). If it was a legit same-cast each night comedy show, it would have been done 10 years ago. IT is the hype, and often controversy, of the guest hosts each week that have people watch. you are almost ALWAYS disappointing.

Celebrity-ism is the current cerebral ruin of comedy in the US. Would anything Fallon does be funny if a celebrity weren’t involved? The answer is no, which then makes his skits not funny.

The opposite is true of Conan. He rarely does stuff with celebrities, and all his stuff is funny lol. Also, In Living Color was high-lary-us. and i don’t think they had many, if any, guests on.

I laughed only at David Beckham and Danny DeVito as BB8. That was actually hilarious. Otherwise, it was uh-huh.

SNL sucks, it is not even funny this is just a cancer, I hate this how. THIS IS HOW YOU ARE PROMOTING STAR WARS????!! With fucking SNL and their shittty cringe worthy humour?! F this shit I’m out

They are promoting Star Wars for everyone, as they should, since it IS for everyone. Whatever you might think about SNL, it is very popular. And the clip is quite funny. I’m really liking Daisy and John. Everytime I see them in promotion material, I get more confident that they’re are going to be amazing!

If you don’t like it, fine. But remember they are not making Star Wars for you, it’s for everyone.

yeh but I found the humour soo low ball and shitty, so I dont mind getting the film out there but this was hard to watch and especially boyegas part, as a fan of boyega before he was even cast in star wars I just find it annoying seeing him do this dumb shit

The casting sheet and the leaked audition lines strongly hinted the protagonists would be a male and female in their 20s

Other than the Chris Tucker moment it was absolutely a mess. They totally missed the point of the version of that they made in the 90’s. At least make fun of George Lucas because of who he is and not some line he wrote. Douche Chills… fact.

Ok, it isn’t necessarily hilarious, but it isn’t that awful either. Chill people, you may either like it or not, it costs nothing.

For me, it’s ok. Nothing too special, but ok.
