I think that “face of evil” is just taking the “rape sloth” meme to a whole new level.

This face of evil guys are creepy cute. Is it me, or are there several BSG references in TFA – ? – these guys look like Daggit, the laser cannon from the recent Disney promo is very BSG, and calling Snoke as “Supreme Leader” is hows the Cylons leader always addressed their leader.

Well Lost Stars is the best entry in the new canon thus far so maybe this will continue the trend and won’t be the blind cash grab some on here are expecting it to be.

Well Lost Stars was Young Adult, this is Young Readers, so it’s probably more for kids.

Yea, but so were those Han, Leia, and Luke novellas. Those were awesome.

Very strange they would use the name Crimson Corsair as that is already a character name in the Watchmen universe.

Lol, you pick out ONE name that you know.

Did you know that Marvel and DC alone share 653 (yes, sixhundred and fifty three) names between their universes? And you pick out one description of a Star Wars character (mind you, not a name) from all of comic history.

I think it’s more of a testament to their creativity that they don’t even use double names, but you can only find one book title like this.

Whaa? I’m just curious why they used a name that was recently featured in a prominent DC comic. They must have known it was used before. Maybe it was a tribute, who knows? Don’t understand why you take it as some kind of assault on the film or feel personally invested in the matter. Chill.

Red pirate basically. Not quite as imaginative as it sounds. I do like the design though. I believe it’s either a recycled prequel or Old Republic design.

He was my favorite new character design they showed at comiccon. Do you have any proof he is from the prequelTOR? he looked all new to me.

No, he’s new. The design is very similar to things seen elsewhere though, especially in SWTOR.

Yeah, ill pass on these. Looks like they just want to sponge up some more money before the release of the movie.

Well no shit. Anyway, these are just cute little short stories for the kiddies, so I wouldn’t make a deal about it.

I don’t think so. He looks terrified instead of terrifying. There still is possibility, but that’s just not how I would represent the great villain to people for the first time.

tbh, most of new aliens feel very Del Toro-esque to me, kinda wsh they had involved GL a little bit more, even as a creative consultant, i found all the new alien races from Prequels pretty spot on – visually at least. these guy feel very general and not so-SW to me, not that they are bad, but I would more see them in Hellboy than Star Wars
