This is a message posted on the cover of a toy. That’s part of the official promo campaign. That’s not a spoiler. You will hear this thousands of times especially after Force Friday.

ok viral hide- i am kind of letting myself know official releases, but you know what i mean – its nicer when the titles are ambiguous, and reveal below the jump – in this case its fine… like others say, if i really want to avoid stuff i wouldnt be here.

The more I see of Kylo Ren and “that” mask, the more I think that a great opportunity has been missed. Actually, I am starting to become annoyed at the “duck bill” imagery… a platypus maybe ok, but a Disney Duck??? That loses all credibility I’m afraid.

‘Hate to say it, but Kylo still doesn’t look cool in toy form. IDK, I guess it needs to be imbued with the [hopefully] cool-vibe from the watching the film to really work.

Yeah not really impressed with these toys. Kylos plastic hood is weird and his mask looks like a melted mess. Finn looks like a really boring toy being pretty much a dude in a leather jacket. All of these toys seem rushed.

The 6-inch Black Series Kylo Ren looks pretty good (minus the weird mold of the lightsaber). Just pose it correctly/realistically, and it’s good.

Sporkers are okay. The folks who make the movie are spoiled. Therefore, viewing spoilers is the closest you are ever going to get to actual being a part of Star Wars production.

  • August 23, 2015 at 6:15 pm
    Permalink

They go to such lengths to keep fans in the dark during pre, pro, and post production saying we don’t want to spoil the movie for the fans only to have it spoiled by marketing 4 months before it comes out anyway? Just do away with the secrecy and let the fans who want to spoil themselves do so.

The ones who want to be surprised shouldn’t go anywhere neat the internet for the next four months.

Besides the obvious and easy cash grab of Vader’s marketability, does anyone else wonder why he’s getting toys? Unless he’s coming back in force ghost form, I don’t like this at all.,.

No. Just the obvious and easy cash grab of Vader’s marketability. And linking any new, young fans to the older trilogies so that they’ll buy those movies and merchandise sets as well.

Is star wars merch still a big deal like it was when the original trilogy first hit? I remember a month or so before empire came out me and my brother thought we had stumbled in to heaven in a toy store in liverpool with all the latest figures on display. We literally had to be dragged out of the shop asking each other why they were all dressed in snow gear, who was the dude with all the bandages (dengar). Who is this lando guy, what is a lobot? Oh the days.

The teaser shows him using The Force (Force push) and with the narration talking about an awakening in the force they end with the image of Kylo ignighting his lightsaber. So this is certainly not a spoiler to anyone who has seen the trailer(s)- which is everyone here including those complaining about spoilers.

Kylo Ren: A dark warrior strong with the Force. Son of Leia and grandson of Anakin Skywalker.
Finn: A trained warrior desperate to escape his past. Holding the lightsaber on the poster is a red herring, he is no Jedi.
Rey: Strong with the Force, as she is Leia’s daughter/granddaughter of Anakin. This is who Luke is referring to in the 2nd teaser trailer.

Is there anyone else around apart from me ? who is just mainly interested in seeing this film on DVD/bluray. And not too worried about the added on extended wait which this method includes.

Cinemas don`t really do anything for me, never been a real cinema fan. But I have equal interest in the film. Cinema is a great experience no doubt, but its equally rewarding watching it while lazying in your own cosy home.

This kinda makes sense and could explain why solo looks so down beat and rough in the trailer. He`s obviously just got released from some kind of rehabilitation or exile, after learning his son joined the knights of ren, and caused him to have a mental breakdown. On top of this he and leia divorced after rey ran away from home and they couldn`t find her, the atmosphere in the family household was just too much for her to handle. We could be heading towards a family reunion in TFA.

Thematically it makes sense: The Prequels were about Anakin, the original trilogy about Luke. So it would make sense that the sequel trilogy focuses on a third-generation Skywalker.

Secondly, Return of the Jedi ended with the revelation that Luke and Leia are siblings. So exploring the idea of siblings who are strong with the Force also makes sense for the sequels.

Kylo = S(KY)walker + So(LO). This is why Kylo chose this name for himself as a member of the Knights of Ren. It is a reference to his parentage (Leia and Han) and underscores his claim as the rightful heir to Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

Actually, it looks increasingly like Kylo may actually be the opposite of Vader in many ways. Through most of the OT Vader was a bitter, cynical old man who had previously lost everything dear to him and thus felt that following Palpatine and the Dark Side were all he really had left, and didn’t seem to have any illusions that he was a bad man. Kylo, OTOH, seems like he’ll be much more of a young, idealistic villain who very strongly believes that what he’s doing is right and that his enemies are the ones in the wrong. At least that’s what we’ve been hearing about him so far.

Just one minor detail ive noticed with all these official and unofficial images of Kylo Ren.

If you pay attention to his lightsaber, in some photos, it has a visible metallic cross-guard with laser blades protruding out from then.

Then in OTHER images, the hilt has no metal cross-guard and the laser blades protrude from the hilt itself.

Then in Other images (specifically of the kylo ren toys) the metal crossguard is actually engulfed in laser energy.

This inconsistency is intriguing. I believe there is more to this weapon that we currently know

I find it interesting that so many people have a need for Rey to be related to someone from the old cast. JJ stated that the character of Rey was open to an actor of any race. So that means that when people say that rey was made to look a legacy character, it makes no sense at all.

The Star Wars Battlefront III beta will begin a month before the game s release and give players the chance to play as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. Heroes sometimes have to deal with far more than just a lone villain.
