I don’t want to meet the people behind Star Wars Uprising.

    JK = p

Lame, low-effort cash grab. Mobile games suck butt.

  • July 30, 2015 at 6:27 pm

That moustache is by far the best practical effect Star Wars have had to date. Look at that JJ!

  • July 30, 2015 at 6:30 pm

It looks good but I’m not a big fan of iOS rpgs

Mmmmm… interesting in the first vid they talk about this game being the first game set after the events of Episode 6 and the death of the Emperor, but there is no talk of Vader being dead.

I’m starting to think Vader didn’t die at the end of ROTJ.

Anther clue about the state of Darth Vader can be found in the 2nd teaser where Luke said: ” My Father HAS it, I have it my sister has it…”

Could Max von Sydow be Vader / Anakin??

Personally I don’t think so but it would be a nice twist.

    • July 30, 2015 at 7:35 pm

Did you miss the whole Anakin Force ghost scene at the end of Return of the Jedi?

      • July 30, 2015 at 9:28 pm

Well, unless Vader has been reawakened…

        • July 31, 2015 at 2:06 am

Cause taking a character that has redeemed themselves and making them evil again makes total sense!

I hope it’s not happening! would be too forced.

  • July 30, 2015 at 6:51 pm

-And yet I’m unable to play as the Empire.

  • July 30, 2015 at 7:11 pm

Senior Art Director Michael Dashow’s ‘stach surely deserves an honourable mention??

  • July 30, 2015 at 7:25 pm

You can’t play this on a PC right? I’m not a big fan of playing on my phone.

  • July 30, 2015 at 7:35 pm

This is will be a pay to play game just like the rest of Kabam’s games. Not worth my time or money. I like paying for a game once and being able to fully play it.

    • July 30, 2015 at 9:29 pm

I’m with you on that sentiment, but sadly, within the next 5 years, you won’t have a single new game to play. Too many people are sucked in by the micro-transactions, and these games are making millions. It’s already crept it’s way into console & PC games…

      • July 31, 2015 at 3:14 am

It started with PC games and MMOs that had a monthly fee long before mobile was really a platform. Not sure where the micro transactions really started, but it isn’t new on the PC.

  • July 30, 2015 at 8:17 pm

who cares that you guys hate it, I’m pretty excited for this. Mainly because I should spend min. 470€ to be able to play battlefront.

  • July 30, 2015 at 9:30 pm

Never understood why people play RPGs. So Boring

    • July 30, 2015 at 10:23 pm

wtf?!! have u ever played skyrim fallout diablo or dragon age?! how is it boring? its a whole stroy you play a role in and can customize almost everything.

    • July 31, 2015 at 12:28 am

I can understand if you’re not a fan of traditional RPG combat. That’s mostly why I tend to favour RPGs like the Elder Scrolls series or the Witcher.

Essentially, I’d like to see Star Wars games that play more like Jedi Outcast/Academy, but more in a non-linear, open-world (open-galaxy in this case) with some RPG elements.

  • July 31, 2015 at 12:08 am

This is nice and all, but where’s some more PC games?

    • July 31, 2015 at 12:18 am

      The DLCs aren’t done yet.

      • July 31, 2015 at 12:32 am

What do DLCs have to do with getting more PC games?

  • July 31, 2015 at 12:26 am

Give me updated xwing vs tie fighter / tie fighter simulator. 20 years and still the BEST way to fly in space with your lazy geek butt stuck in an office chair. that is all.

    • July 31, 2015 at 12:42 am

Just imagine X-Wing V TIE fighter with Battlefront graphics/audio, and massive multiplayer vs battles for 32 or more players, in addition there could even be cooperative missions. Could basically just do it all in one game, with Rebel and Imperial campaigns. I’d play such a game to death.

When are starfighters/space battles going to get some proper love in a game again?
At this rate, I’d even settle for something a bit more arcade, such as Rogue Squadron. It’s been 10 years since the last in that series.

Since the Lucasfilm Story group wiped the EU from canon, they’ve basically prepared the way to reimagine all these classic Star Wars games… but all we seem to hear about is Battlefront and mobile games.

      • July 31, 2015 at 1:23 am

X wing alliance got a mod that’s easy to download which updates the graphics to a tolerable level. You can make your own custom matches in that game… like say an SSD vs. 8 star destroyers (lol).

But I agree, I have a feeling someone is working on it but maybe the announcement will come some time after TFA.

        • July 31, 2015 at 1:50 am

“Tolerable level”? There’s only so much you can do to improve the graphics from a game from 15 years ago, short of a complete rewrite of the game code.

          • July 31, 2015 at 5:53 am

I meant within the context of modern graphics… not trying to complain about old school games… as I’ve been replaying all the old star wars classics lately.

But going back to 2002 graphics kinda sucks. It would be nice if a remaster of all the games were done… I was impressed with the X wing alliance mod actually.

      • July 31, 2015 at 3:21 am

They are focused on getting everyone ready for the ST. Give it time, we may see a retooling of some of these classic games in a couple years. If they do an x-wing/tie game (I hope they do!) it may even include the new models.

  • July 31, 2015 at 3:28 am

Is it me or does that picture at the top with the mandolorian looking character look like the helmet is a cross between Boba Fett’s and the TFA storm trooper?

  • July 31, 2015 at 5:54 am

Does anyone know if it’s possible to play this on PC?

  • July 31, 2015 at 6:40 am

stuck at level 20 since day 1, very repetative and boring now, needs to get next section unlocked.

  • July 31, 2015 at 8:01 am

Just started to play this game and I think its a cool game for being a game on mobile devices.

  • July 31, 2015 at 8:47 am

I better be in this game.
