That moustache is by far the best practical effect Star Wars have had to date. Look at that JJ!

Mmmmm… interesting in the first vid they talk about this game being the first game set after the events of Episode 6 and the death of the Emperor, but there is no talk of Vader being dead.

I’m starting to think Vader didn’t die at the end of ROTJ.

Anther clue about the state of Darth Vader can be found in the 2nd teaser where Luke said: ” My Father HAS it, I have it my sister has it…”

Could Max von Sydow be Vader / Anakin??

Personally I don’t think so but it would be a nice twist.

Did you miss the whole Anakin Force ghost scene at the end of Return of the Jedi?

Cause taking a character that has redeemed themselves and making them evil again makes total sense!

You can’t play this on a PC right? I’m not a big fan of playing on my phone.

This is will be a pay to play game just like the rest of Kabam’s games. Not worth my time or money. I like paying for a game once and being able to fully play it.

I’m with you on that sentiment, but sadly, within the next 5 years, you won’t have a single new game to play. Too many people are sucked in by the micro-transactions, and these games are making millions. It’s already crept it’s way into console & PC games…

It started with PC games and MMOs that had a monthly fee long before mobile was really a platform. Not sure where the micro transactions really started, but it isn’t new on the PC.

I can understand if you’re not a fan of traditional RPG combat. That’s mostly why I tend to favour RPGs like the Elder Scrolls series or the Witcher.

Essentially, I’d like to see Star Wars games that play more like Jedi Outcast/Academy, but more in a non-linear, open-world (open-galaxy in this case) with some RPG elements.

Give me updated xwing vs tie fighter / tie fighter simulator. 20 years and still the BEST way to fly in space with your lazy geek butt stuck in an office chair. that is all.

Just imagine X-Wing V TIE fighter with Battlefront graphics/audio, and massive multiplayer vs battles for 32 or more players, in addition there could even be cooperative missions. Could basically just do it all in one game, with Rebel and Imperial campaigns. I’d play such a game to death.

When are starfighters/space battles going to get some proper love in a game again?
At this rate, I’d even settle for something a bit more arcade, such as Rogue Squadron. It’s been 10 years since the last in that series.

Since the Lucasfilm Story group wiped the EU from canon, they’ve basically prepared the way to reimagine all these classic Star Wars games… but all we seem to hear about is Battlefront and mobile games.

X wing alliance got a mod that’s easy to download which updates the graphics to a tolerable level. You can make your own custom matches in that game… like say an SSD vs. 8 star destroyers (lol).

But I agree, I have a feeling someone is working on it but maybe the announcement will come some time after TFA.

“Tolerable level”? There’s only so much you can do to improve the graphics from a game from 15 years ago, short of a complete rewrite of the game code.

I meant within the context of modern graphics… not trying to complain about old school games… as I’ve been replaying all the old star wars classics lately.

But going back to 2002 graphics kinda sucks. It would be nice if a remaster of all the games were done… I was impressed with the X wing alliance mod actually.

They are focused on getting everyone ready for the ST. Give it time, we may see a retooling of some of these classic games in a couple years. If they do an x-wing/tie game (I hope they do!) it may even include the new models.
