Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew, Jeremy Bulloch and More Announced for Star Wars Celebration 2015.

StarWars.com has just announced that Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew, Daniel Logan, Jeremy Bulloch, Ray Park and more will make an appearance at this year’s Star Wars Celebration taking place on April 16-19 in Anaheim…

From StarWars.com:

The Jedi strikes back! Mark Hamill, the legendary actor who played Luke Skywalker in the original trilogy — and will return in J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens — is confirmed for Star Wars Celebration. Hamill has attended three previous Celebrations, including 2013’s Celebration Europe in Germany, where he reunited with several Star Wars cast members, signed autographs, and talked with Warwick Davis on the Celebration Stage and on StarWars.com.

Notorious bounty hunters, Wookiee co-pilots, Sith assassins, and more are set to meet fans and sign autographs in the Celebration Autograph Hall by Official Pix,

You can see the list of the announced so far special and feature Celebration guests HERE.

One thing about this list is worth mentioning. Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) is listed as a special guest and Kenny Baker (R2-D2) is listed as a feature guest. The description on Daniels clearly states that he worked on all 7 Star Wars movies including The Force Awakens. On the other hand Baker’s description states that he was credited in 6 Star Wars movies, not mentioning TFA.

Now this might be nothing, but if you remember Kenny Baker was also absent from the table read photo released at the start of production, although he was officially announced as a cast member. As we know the R2-D2 unit used in TFA will be controlled by a remote. Still it is normal to use actors performing in the close-up scenes.

Not long ago David Prowse spoke about Baker revealing that “he is really ill with huge problems with his chest”. We hope that everything is alright with Mr. Baker and look forward to see him in Anaheim.

      I don`t believe the Han dying rumor at all. Why would they do away with their ace card and most popular character. And why would they wanna plunge leia into emotional turmoil perhaps loosing her partner or husband ? Even making fans sad also and mad. I think we will have Han until the end of the sequel trilogy. It would loose Disney money in merchandising also, cause no more being able to make a new model Han toy for every new episode release. They`d be stuck with the toy from his appearance in TFA then that`s it. I doubt spin off movie toys would be as lucrative.

    I must say, I’m delighted that Felix Silla,
    best known for playing the hang gliding Ewok in Return of the Jedi will be at Star Wars celebration. That MAKES it for me. Result.

    Would there really be any need for Baker to be at the table read?

    I mentioned to Mary Franklin that now that the torch has passed from GL’s hand that Prowse should be considered to be included in the Celebration….from the fan’s standpoint. Her response didn’t address my statement (intentionally, I suspect), but I wonder if he’s been at least approached about the prospect….based on his statement above, but then again noticing that he didn’t specifically say “I’M hoping to see him in Anaheim”.

      I follow Prowse on Facebook, and last I knew he had cancelled all appearances abroad (he lives in England) due to mobility issues. It would be fantastic to see him reunited with the cast at Celebration, but I doubt he would, or could, make it. Here’s to hoping that I’m wrong!

      @Trevor
      Prowse only said the part in the quotation marks (that Baker has issues with his chest.) The other words were mine.
