Fantastic Modern Fan Trailer for Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

star-wars-episode-v-the-empire-strikes-back14Hit the jump to check out this really well made fan trailer for The Empire Strikes Back. The trailer really captures the mood of the iconic movie but is very, very spoilerific. 🙂

The music is great, the only problem I have are the titles. Nevertheless – Great Job!

But Kershner was wise enough to listen to Ford and allow it.

He didn’t “allow” it. They did take after take with all different lines for Han, finally they just did one last one at which Ford was told to just wing it basically, and out came the “I Know” line. Ivan loved it, and so it was…

He’s NOT dead it was an internet DEATH HOAX!!!!!

He is still scoring Episode VII and likely the next two installments, assuming health issues don’t interfere.

It is well done but it demonstrates just how important the music is to the feel of Star Wars

The use of the Prequel Emperor ruins it for me.

Ian McDiarmid is the only Imperator. Great actor.

And besides he was Imperator in EP VI as well originally.

EP V was the only movie in saga that had different Imperator. And that was inconsistent.

Cool trailer, it’s a little more like a highlight reel than a preview, but it gets the message across well. The words flashing across the screen are more in line with Fifth Element (good movie) or Armageddon (….), not really appropriate font/treatment for a star wars ad. But I like this trailer.
Quentin Tarantino + Star Wars takes 2nd place just simply for the Samuel L. Jackson fake Bible speech / Darth Vader juxtaposition (I totally felt ripped off with Samuel L, as Windu, he only did his SLJ Yell once 😐 ).
Guardians of’da Galaxy + Star Wars is a little too unoriginal so it’s 3rd place.

It will turn out in episode 7 that Luke is actually not vaders son. It was a complete burocratic cockup with the birth certificates. “Someone” forged the ones on Coruscant and the officials at the magistrate blame the same guy that deleted the Kamino location form the Jedi library. The only real originals blew up on Alderan, but the bottom line is it wasn’t Anakin, but the chauffeur from Nabu.

Usually fan made trailers are pretty lame since they almost always pull scenes from video games but if this had been a real trailer back in the day, it would have been bad ass! It would need to remove the Vader/father reveal of course. Not having the official music is a bit off but not a bfd.

Love it. The only thing I don’t like is the episode V at the end. Yes this is episode 5 but I never liked the prequel emphasis on which episode it is. This was carried over to the OT Dvds

It was great. Gave me some goosebumps oddly enough. Might have to show this version to my girlfriend in order to get her to watch Star Wars with me.

    Jerzum H. Crow ….
This goes to show just what imbeciles make up a
large part of “Star Wars” fandom: here I am,
thinking this ESB trailer remake is 10000% excellent,
yet all it gets here is lambasted because some fucking
insignia on a Moff’s uniform is 2 mm put of place ….

I pray to Satan ‘imself that JJA ignores all of you mouthbreathers
and gives VII the royall treatment it so richly deserves.

Wow! Really great! I want to see this movie!

Oh, wait a minute … I have seen it! Thirty times, easily.

    Almost too bad, really.

People should have a constitutional right to delete their memories of their favorite movies, so that they could watch them for the first time over and over.

You can put “Two Steps to Hell” music to a picture of a Hotdog.. And it will instantly become the most Epic Hotdog ever.

I know what he’s going for, but that’s not ep4. It’s good (for the most part), it’s kinda modern, it’s drooling fan boy pseudo-epic style, but it doesn’t capture the Star Wars spirit, not in the least bit.

It’s a nice peice of editing for sure – but having access to the entire film and showing all the good bits is a luxury you don’t have when creating trailers – surprised it didn’t have the I’m your father in it!
