The prequel people will never understand….it is like arguing with a brick wall..no matte how many holes you show them in the films storyline that makes absolutely no sense to the original story..they will still fight you tooth and nail..its like arguing with a teenager who thinks they know it all, but don’t know shit. they wont understand until they are older..no matter how many times you explain to them how retarded it was to have Anakin as 3p0’s creator..or..how come obi wan doesn’t remember either droid when he sees them in episode 4?padme dying during child birth..but somehow in return of the jedi leia remembers her from when she was young.yoda knowing Chewbacca..lol. the emperor deformed face being caused by lightning now.
the list is friggin endless, you could writ a trilogy of books dedicated to how much Lucas messed up the prequels…. but they will still whine and cry and argue how good it is, and how wrong you are…kids will be kids afterall..let it go

        > Fett Junior.

Ugh, no. I’m sorry, but… No.

Now, I could see Boba Fett eventually finding a successor to carry his name, and I think that would work for a story. But I don’t think it should be handled as “Boba Fett had a son who ended up doing the exact same thing he did”. Plus, if we were operation on the assumption that he’s dead – which he isn’t, given that George Lucas himself recently confirmed that he’s alive, and that he escaped from the Sarlacc – the hypothetical Boba-tyke would have to have been conceived beforehand. Even if you were to explain Boba’s sudden horndoggery, that would also beg the question – how does this kid know how to do all this stuff if the one person he could have learned if from died?

Lucas said Bobba Fett survuved ?….Lucas said Luke and Leia at first was not brother and sister ?…Lucas said Anakin was the chosen one ?… Iz it me or iz there a pattern to this ?

          • July 28, 2014 at 5:38 am
            Permalink

Leia and Luke were not originally written as brother and sister. That much is obvious in A New Hope. Things changed in The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi.

Anakin *is* the chosen one. Albeit, the chosen one that screwed up significantly at one point, but ultimately delivered.

George Lucas *just* stated that Boba Fett is alive. And it’s pretty obvious that Disney is going to capitalize on the character soon. So don’t pull that “but he could change his mind” argument – it doesn’t really work here.

” It doesnt really work here ? ” lmfao !!!! theres been so many mind changes in star wars, cant even tell whats real anymore…. Bobba Fett is dead.. no hes alive… I dont care what Lucas says anymore… He doesnt run the saga nor iz he the boss… If Disney says Fett is alive, he is.. If Disney says Anakin was not the chosen one, hes not.. Suger cry all you want.. Disney owns it, not Lucas…

I’m really sick of fans who worship Anakin being the chosen one. He was evil period. The Jedi council waz not corrupt. Anyone who sits here agreeing that he is has to be a satanic sicko. We mine as well forgive Hitler and go ahead and say he was the chosen one in the 40s.

O_o Dude, what in the name of all that is sacred to all religions around the world are you talking about? How does any of that relate to satanism or Hitler? Yours has to be the most ridiculous post I have ever read on any message board. “Satanic”? Really? What are you, 12? There’s more to that entire religion than simply disagreeing with you. That’s the kind of thinking that led to the Crusades and the Salem witch trials. People like you scare me.

Starkiller, I see his point. Anakin slaughtered Jedi (Younglings were of the first ones he killed). He also slaughtered a whole tribe of sand people.

In fact, I can’t believe Padme’ didn’t see this coming! She knew he did it and still married him! Stupid!

Actually my friend you are wrong. Anakin wasn’t evil. He was manipulated and lied to. When he goes to palpatines chambers in ROTS he does so to make sure he is arrested and treated fairly. He had no intentions of hurting Mace Windu. George Lucas stated that he was only trying to block Mace windus sword. He killed an unarmed prisoner (Count Dooku) and knew it was wrong and was not going to make the same mistake again. Once he cuts off his arm and sees what happens next he realizes there is no turning back. As far as the jedi being corrupt? I would’nt go that far but Lucas has said that the jedi council had become a bit closed minded and arrogant. That can be easily seen. Yoda alludes to it in AOTC when speaking to Obi wan and Mace Windu. The point is Anakin is not evil. Darth Sidious plays on Anakins fears of losing Padme and does it well. Lucas has also stated that Anakin in a way punishes himself for what happens to Mace Windu and for the death of Padme which he is made to believe he caused and in a way he did. People can easily be manipulated through lies. All it takes is the right person with the right sales pitch lol. Anakin was never evil. period.

I’ll have to disagree with you on this one. A person has free will and Anakin slaughtered younglings and no matter what his motivations were, that’s an act of evil.

If you actually listen to Kevin Smith in interviews and podcasts he talks all the time about batman (his favorite superhero) and Ben Affleck (his friend). Not Sure what an article about batman’s costume has to do with his visiting the set from EP VII.

Guess what, one of the reasons other filmmakers invite him on the set is because they know he will go and talk about what he saw on set and raise awareness of it to his fans. JJ knew what he was doing when he invited him on set. Look at the video everyone asks him what he saw and in turn called Disny and ask if they can visit the set. Its all part of the plan.

Anyone who can’t see that his visit to the set is part of the grand hype-scheme is a complete moron. Why else would they have asked him in the first place? He’s a perfect representation of the nerd/fan community and millions of people really respect his opinions. JJ and Disney know this.

So after episode 6, and after the prequels Lucas always said that Boba Fett died in the sarlac pit, and now once again changes his mind about that saying is did survive. No wonder SW was ruined. Going back to add more things in the OT when he didnt need to, then making this evil brat Anakin this so called chosen one of hope, and this love traingle with Luke, leia and Han in Ep 5 then changing it to brother and sister in ep6. I am so glad Disney , Kasdan, Abrams, Kennedy are in charge of this cause Lucas has got on my last nerves with all these idea changes.

We are in the year 2014. Lucas does not own Star Wars anymore. It doesn’t matter if he says Fett is dead or alive. Doesnt matter if he says Anakin was the chosen one or not. Lucas lost all right when he chose to sell it. If Disney says Fett is alive, he is. If Disney says Anakin is the one or not, so be it. Disney owns it and thats the end of any arguement about Fett or Anakin. CASE CLOSED !!

Except Lucas’s word is still treated as the highest level of canon, even if he doesn’t own the franchise anymore. The Lucasfilm Story Group – that is to say, the guys officially making sure everything fits into the new canon – even said so themselves.
