Future Star Wars Toys to be Made by Bandai, Square Enix, Kaiyodo, TakaraTomy and More.

The 2014 Tokyo Toy Show was this past week, and in the midst of it all was a new catalog revealing that six large toy companies are going to be producing Star Wars toys over the next few years…

From actionfigurefury:

Everyone knows that Hasbro has the license and they recently started to make 6-inch Star Wars Black Series figures, and you may have already seen Bandai‘s offerings, which were on display at the Tokyo Toy Show.

According to the image of the catalog below, it looks like TakaraTomy, Bandai, Square Enix, SEGA, Good Smile Company, and Kaiyodo are all going to be making Star Wars toys and action figures in the near future.

I know what you are wondering. Are you going to see Star Wars Play Arts Kai, Revoltech, Figma, and PVC figures? The answer is likely yes if you know anything about the above manufacturers. Though, until we actually see prototypes, we won’t know exactly what is going to be produced.

Leave the License`s alone, Disney is to quick to offer it out to anyone whos willing. WHy Whore the entire franchise just to make a quick buck! 5 hundred million in a non movie year is still unbeaten and the entire time Hasbro or Kenner has had the license to make the toys leave it the hell alone, so far most of the license`s switches have been garbage yay Marvel comics more crap art n storys to come!

Neato. I hope that Hasbro is the company that makes the majority of “Star Wars” toys, though.

Hasbro have really dropped the ball in recent years. Sub par offerings with HORRIBLE distribution. A new company who actually care is exactly what we need.

New company interests is great, but they all begin by releasing the same rota of figures and vehicles before passing on the license, then the successor releases their own versions of the same, so we never get to enjoy a wider range. Hasbro and Sideshow have longevity on their side, and a good choice for all collectors. Hope they’re not all going to be stuck releasing OT Han, Leia, Luke, Vader, Boba, Stormtroopers, Millennium Falcon, X-Wings etc, until the EP7 merchandise hits.

Play Arts Kai sometimes make ridiculously awesome figures. My Final Fantasy 12 Gabranth was so awesome I bought another.

Hasbro was always great, every new line of figures was better then the one before.so much details.but in 2012 when episode 1 3d came out they started to make figures with really less details and with almost no moveable points.and it get worse, then they are going to make the same figures but now bigger, really ugly, I was happy when the black sites came out but they are making bad figures for rebels again. Btw, I’m thinking bandai will make pvc figures.
