Star Wars Episode VIII to Film in County Cork, Ireland.

County_CorkApparently, Skellig Michael and Kerry won’t be the only spots in Ireland where filming for Star Wars Episode VIII will take place – County Cork, which is right by both of these locations, will serve as yet another filming site.

From The Movie Bit:

We’ve just discovered that some of the scenes are to be shot in Brow Head, Co.Cork. We’ve seen the filming proposal and it’s a pretty detailed document outlining the impact on the area right down to specifications for ports cabins. According to the documentation, this seems to be a relatively long production. 12 weeks have been outlined for assembly, filming and disassembly of the sets and area. Filming will take place between 8am and 8pm on a privately owned parcel of land on the western side of the headland and a cast and crew of up to 200. Other scenes are also to be shot at the same time in another coastal location (as of yet unknown) which would account for the large crew (100 in each location maybe?). No mention of Star Wars or the production company was listed on the documentation but it’s noted that the “purpose of the proposed filming activity is to shoot a number of scenes for an established franchise.” But given today’s announcement, you’d want to be pretty dumb not to figure out what that is!

The amount of filming that has already taken place in Ireland for (and the filming that we know will take place, along with the Pinewood filming) suggests that Rey’s training under Luke will be a crucial part of Episode VIII in the same way that Luke’s training under Yoda was crucial to The Empire Strikes Back. Or it might even be possible that part of this leg of filming will not be for Ahch-To, but for a new location entirely. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this situation.

What’s the name of the font at the top? I need to find a way to switch my type to that on here.

We don’t need you to be anymore obnoxious than you already are.

Besides, you know EVERYTHING. How can you not know the name of that font?

“Ah, the beautiful white horse creature represents a parallel to the great ice creature Luke faced in The Empire Strikes Back. Only this time this tables are turned, you see. The creature the boy must slay to save his life is now as docile as a cat, led about by the confident heroin.

By the sound of it, she’s either attending a funeral, or a wedding. Most lady’s of the Arthurian realm would have arrived to their wedding upon a white horse.”

-My Philosophies teacher [who knows little about Star Wars] after my explaining the Dubrovnik set/scene to him. He’s like my very own Joe Campbell.

Well only if there’s a one-on-one battle near the end with a reveal like ‘no I am you’re brother’ JJ did a great job with TFA for the most part, just pushed a little to far with the homage to the OT for my liking. However, constructive criticism is better than moaning for the sake of moaning.

Got to be a better reveal than a plain copy though don’t you agree?

My favorite, assuming a complete mind-wipe and the implantation of fake memories …

KYLO: “Luke Skywalker never told you what happened to his Jedi apprentices …”

REY: “He told me enough! He told me you killed them!”

KYLO: “No! YOU killed Luke’s apprentices.”

This statement is pure speculation by the writer of this article and should be treated as pure crap. Notice the next sentence in the article says that the filming here could be for something totally different. This site does too much speculation based on absolutely nothing, which starts too many rumors and people bitching and whining about how terrible the movie will be. Its pretty irresponsible, if you ask me.
