‘Star Tours’ Begins Adding Content From ‘The Mandalorian’, ‘Andor’, and ‘Ahsoka’ on April 5

It’s official – after being teased late last year, Lucasfilm has revealed that content tied to the Disney Plus Star Wars series The MandalorianAndor, and Ahsoka will soon be introduced to guests who travel on Star Tours – The Adventures Continue as part of the annual Season of the Force event.

The official Disney Parks blog revealed the news that the shows would be integrated into the ever-changing experience of Star Tours, a ride that features dozens of potential combinations of locations for guests to visit. The full extent of the details on what the new content is going to be has not yet been revealed, but some of the new content being added to the ride includes the new visitable location of Peridea, the mysterious world introduced in the back half of Ahsoka – and flight passengers will be able to hear various emergency transmissions featuring messages from Din Djarin and Grogu, Cassian Andor, and Ahsoka Tano.

Lucasfilm first hinted at plans to expand the Star Tours experience past films at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022 before confirming that more were on the way at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023. As it stands, the new batch of additions to the park raises the number of possible combinations of routes to over 250 possible narrative paths for passengers to go on. The new experiences will commemorate the start of Season of the Force, which goes from April 5 to June 2, a limited-time event where guests can get special-themed foods, beverages, and merchandise. During this time, the Hyperspace Mountain retheming of the Space Mountain ride will be up and running, adding X-wings, TIE fighters, and John Williams’s iconic score to the indoor rollercoaster.

The new adventure will be added to Star Tours at Disneyland, Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World, and Disneyland Paris on April 5, with unfortunately no word on whether or not the attraction will be added to Tokyo Disneyland. Current locales that Star Tours travelers can visit include Tatooine, Hoth, Coruscant, Naboo, Geonosis (and the under-construction Death Star), Kashyyyk, Jakku, Crait, Kef Bir, and Exegol, with the ride going through a series of set paths, one set dedicated to the six original trilogy and prequel trilogy planets, and another set to the four sequel trilogy planets, selected in a randomized order with randomized events in order to ensure that only the most dedicated riders will experience the exact same path more than once.
